Players can find many collectibles scattered throughout Kirby and the Forgotten Land, from capsule figurines to captured Waddle Dees. While the figurines are purely collector’s items, the rescued Waddle Dees will help rebuild the destroyed Waddle Dee Town. As players progress through the game, saving Waddle Dees as they go, the town will transform from barren to a thriving area filled with buildings like a cinema, mini-game booth, and a weapons crafting shop.
The first world area, the Natural Plains, has 46 trapped Waddle Dees. Players can rescue Waddle Dees by completing special mission objectives in each stage, such as defeating enemies, finding hidden areas, or pulling off challenging feats. The area’s third stage, Rocky Rollin’ Road, has 10 Waddle Dees for player to find. While three are earned simply by completing the stage, the other seven will take some effort to locate.
How To Find The Food Waddle Dee
One of the special tasks in Rocky Rollin’ Road is for Kirby to snack on three food items from on top of a tree stump. Players will find the first food item, a loaf of bread, at the very beginning of the level. The second item, a hand of bananas, can be found nearby after climbing a ladder.
The third item is a concealed milk carton. Players will need to follow the broken path around the side of the building as they progress through the level to find a rock with a sparkling cloud above it. Jump onto this rock to reveal the milk carton on the adjacent stump. Eating all three of these items will reward players with a Waddle Dee.
How To Find The Hidden Waddle Dees
Players need to find four hidden Waddle Dees in Rocky Rollin’ Road. The first is located near the beginning of the level. Players will be prompted to shoot a target using Kirby’s Ranger ability. Shooting the target will destroy the wall beneath the falling boulders and reveal the first hidden Waddle Dee.
The second hidden Waddle Dee is found by shooting the target found by crossing the bridge around the building. A door will appear that leads to a shooting range. Destroying all of the targets rescues a Waddle Dee.
The third hidden Waddle Dee is the easiest to miss. Kirby has to both run down a hill to avoid being crushed and also avoid standing on the broken ground at the base of the hill when the boulder falls. However, at the far end of this cracked ground is a switch that players need to hit before the boulder falls and sends it careening into the abyss. As long as players avoid enemies on the path and run as straight as possible, hitting the switch in time shouldn’t be a problem.
The fourth hidden Waddle Dee can be found in this stage’s car section that makes use of Mouthful Mode. Players will need to traverse a winding road with jumps interspersed in order to break through a building wall.
How To Find The Side Road Waddle Dee
When players climb the hill at the beginning of the level that has boulders rolling toward the player, there is a sparkling area to the left. Jumping into it will reveal a path of coins leading to a secret side road. Players will receive a Waddle Dee simply by finding the path.
How To Find The Final Four Waddle Dees In Rocky Rollin’ Road
One of the secret tasks in Rocky Rollin’ Road is skill-based. Once Kirby acquires Car Mouth, players need to drive on thin strips of land without falling off the edge.
