Patrick Brewer is a very wholesome character in Schitt’s Creek and his relationship with David Rose shows what a brilliant person he is. Patrick struggled when he was developing feelings for his business partner, David, and would go on a hike to clear his head. When he decided to ask David to marry him, he decided the best place to do that would be on the hiking trail.
Despite spraining his ankle and David having to carry him to the top, Patrick got down on one knee and David happily accepted his proposal and the four rings he was presented with. The couple married in Schitt’s Creek’s finale.
9 Ben Asks Leslie To Marry Him (Parks And Recreation)
When Ben gets a job offer to run a political campaign in Florida, it seems like everything in his life and his relationship with Leslie might change. Leslie is upset, thinking that they had found their dream home in Washington and were going to start their life together.
She returns to the house one last time before she cancels her offer. To her surprise, Ben arrives at the house and lets Leslie know he is choosing her by proposing. Although she initially makes him wait for an answer, taking a moment to process what is happening, she happily accepts his proposal.
8 Jake Proposes To Amy (Brooklyn Nine-Nine)
Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s Jake Peralta and Amy Santiago seemed like opposites at first, with Jake being immature and reckless and Amy being by-the-book and studious. However, the development of their romantic relationship showed how much they had in common and how they balanced each other out.
In the popular Halloween Heist episode of season five, Jake uses the competition to make sure that Amy is distracted and not expecting his proposal. This way, he manages to genuinely surprise Amy, who is usually one step ahead of everyone else. Jake’s proposal proved how right he and Amy were for each other and how much he understood everything about her.
7 Warren Proposes With A Crossword Puzzle (Grey’s Anatomy)
Ben Warren and Miranda Bailey clashed when they first met on Grey’s Anatomy but as their relationship developed, they became a popular couple on the show. In season 8, Ben plans to propose to Miranda through a crossword puzzle. However, Miranda is called into the hospital and goes to work, leaving Ben annoyed.
Ben is so distant and angry that Miranda ends up doing the crossword puzzle in the middle of surgery, surrounded by surgeons from the hospital like Meredith and Derek. When Miranda discovers “Will You Marry Me?” is a crossword answer, she is shocked. However, in the next episode, Miranda proposes to Ben and they agree to get married.
6 Santana Proposes In The Glee Club (Glee)
Santana Lopez and Brittany S. Pierce were fan-favorite characters on Glee. Originally side characters but given more focus due to their popularity, Santana and Brittany were beloved by viewers of Glee. In the sixth season, after returning to McKinley High to sing a Carole King and Alanis Morrissette mash-up, Santana proposes to Brittany in the Glee club.
As she does, the pair are surrounded by Glee club members. Although classmate Kurt objects to the marriage, having experienced a failed engagement at a young age, Santana and Brittany know that their relationship is strong and will remain strong into their marriage.

Nick Miller and Jessica Day’s on-again-off-again romance was one of the central relationships of New Girl. Even when they were not together romantically, they managed to remain good friends and someone who the other could rely on.
Nick’s proposal to Jess in the seventh season was brilliant because it perfectly embodied who they were as a couple – imperfect but great. Outside the restaurant where they had their first date, Nick takes the ring out of a plastic bag and proposes in front of all their friends.

In The One With The Proposal, the season six finale of Friends, viewers got to see fan-favorite couple Chandler and Monica get engaged. Hoping to keep his intentions a surprise, Chandler pretends he has no interest in marriage, much to Monica’s dismay.

However, Monica fills their apartment with flowers and candles, attempting to propose to Chandler herself. When Monica cannot get the words out, Chandler takes over and the two become engaged.
3 Carina Proposes To Maya (Station 19)
Carina Deluca and Maya Bishop have a difficult relationship from the beginning of their journey on Station 19, with the trauma of Maya’s past affecting her and the way she handles relationships. However, the pair take everything in their stride and their relationship grows stronger than ever. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic hits Seattle, Carina is forced to move back to Italy indefinitely.
Even though Carina doesn’t believe in marriage, seeing the ways it trapped her parents in unhappy situations, she lets Maya know that she would do whatever it takes to spend the dark moments of the pandemic, and the rest of her life, with her. In a truly happy moment amongst the darkness of the fourth season, Maya and Carina become engaged and can stay together in the US.
2 Schmidt Finally Gets His Wish (New Girl)
The moment that New Girl‘s Schmidt met Cece Parekh, he knew he was going to marry her. Cece was less convinced and made him put $5 in ‘the douchebag jar’ for saying so.
In the episode Clean Break, Schmidt and Cece realize that they cannot live without each other, despite their rocky start. With the $5 that Cece made him put in the jar in hand, Schmidt proposes in the loft, surrounded by their best friends. This time, Cece does not object.
1 Derek Proposes To Meredith In An Elevator (Grey’s Anatomy)
Grey’s Anatomy‘s protagonist Meredith Grey and neurosurgeon Derek Shepherd were set up as a potential couple from the beginning. After spending the night together, Meredith arrives on her first day as a surgical intern to find that Derek is an attending at the hospital. Despite her initial reservations about their relationship, they became a popular couple on Grey’s Anatomy.
In the fifth season, Meredith catches the elevator in which she and Derek shared their first kiss and finds him inside. On the walls of the elevator, Derek has made a timeline of their relationship through scans of patients who they’ve worked on together. Derek lets Meredith know he wants to spend the rest of his life with her, and Meredith reciprocates.
