Choosing to live his life “one-quarter mile at a time,” Dom exhibits strong family values and moral codes. His latest appearance in Fast & Furious 9 found him and Letty raising their son, Brian, on a farm—officially retired. When Dom receives word that his estranged younger brother, Jakob Toretto, is working with the cyber-terrorist known as Cipher, Dom regathers his team to stop their genocidal mission.

The middle child of the Toretto’s (between Mia and Dominic), Jakob was exiled from his family when it was revealed he was responsible for his father’s death.

First introduced in F9, Jakob grew up in Dom’s shadow. Seeking revenge for their family’s fallout, he turned to a life of crime after betraying Mr. Nobody to go rogue and work with Cypher to steal Project Aries. The last audiences saw of Jakob, he and Dom had reconciled after he shared the truth about his father’s death. Dom accepted Jakob back into the Toretto family and handed him a set of keys to his Dodge Charger.

Leticia “Letty” Ortiz first appeared in The Fast and the Furious alongside Dominic Toretto. She’s since appeared in seven out of the nine Furious films, including a cameo in Fast 5.

Letty grew up in the same neighborhood as Dom, taking an interest in cars during her early teenage years. She later became romantically interested in Dom when she was sixteen years old. Letty’s last appearance was in F9, which saw her return to heists after isolating with Dom and their son, Brian, on a farmhouse in London.

4 Mia Toretto Is Back—Out Of Retirement

MIA TORETTO

First introduced to audiences back in 2001, Mia Toretto has appeared in seven Fast films, including a photo cameo in Fast & Furious 8.

Jordana Brewster didn’t appear in The Fast of the Furious due to Paul Walker’s untimely death, which meant the legacy of his character, Brian O’Connor, would also affect Mia. Subsequently, their characters were ‘retired’ until Fast & Furious 9, when Mia came out of retirement to aid Dom in his attempts to stop Jakob Toretto. The last time audiences saw Mia, she was seated at the table of a Furious family barbecue, waiting on Brian, who eventually pulls up in the driveway.

The last audiences saw of these three, they were seated at Dom’s Furious family barbecue at the Toretto household; Tej and Roman argued about food, much to the annoyance of Ramsey.

Deckard last appeared in F9’s mid-credit scene, which found him beating an unknown man inside a punching bag. A knock at the door disturbs Shaw, pausing his pummelling, and brings him face-to-face with Han Lue for the first time since his ‘death.’
