All of Us Are Dead’s Most Horrific Deaths, Ranked | CBR

WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Season 1 of All of Us Are Dead, now streaming on Netflix.

In Netflix’s All of Us Are Dead, the zombie apocalypse broke out in the Hyosan district after a school teacher, Byeong-chan, made a virus to strengthen his son against bullies. Unfortunately, it backfired, infecting his family, all before a student got bitten by a critter. It began a rapid spread to the greater Korean public a la Train to Busan, so let’s break down the most heartbreaking deaths in Season 1.

10. Joon-yeong Had A Dire Fate

Joon-yeong wasn’t the strongest or fastest of the teen survivors, but he was loyal in trying to help On-jo’s crew escape the gym when zombie students attacked. They strung together a makeshift shield using trolleys and equipment to get to the door, but when they started getting overpowered, Joon-yeong ran out of the circle. He was already bitten, so he used himself as bait, allowing the others to escape while he got fed on. It was a tear-jerking sacrifice, culminating in him screaming for them to live.
