Thanos is Marvel’s famous universe-shattering villain who was able to collect all of the Infinity Stones and wipe out half the universe’s population with a snap of his fingers. He gave even an army of Marvel heroes a tough time, and in one timeline, he was even able to defeat them.
How would Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure’s Stand users fare against Thanos and his power (including that of the Infinity Stones)? Would any be able to measure up or stop the villain? Using time-altering powers, blinding speed, and tricky abilities, there are some Stands throughout the franchise that might stand a chance.
10 Stone Free Could Free Thanos Of His Gauntleted Arm
The one thing all Stands have over Thanos is that if Thanos does not also have a Stand, he cannot see other Stands, and if we are considering that as not being a power Thanos has, Stands have the upper hand. But even if Thanos could see Stands, Stone Free can hide its threads.
These threads have been known to cut things cleanly apart, and that includes body parts. It is hard to use the Infinity Gauntlet when your arms are gone. That is not necessarily going to win the fight, but it will put Jolyne Cujoh, Stone Free’s Stand user, at an advantage.
9 Notorious B.I.G. Can Keep Fighting Even After The User’s Death
Notorious B.I.G. is another Stand with a tricky ability. It can continue to function and fight even after its Stand user’s death. This is what begs the question of whether or not the Infinity Stones work on Stands, and whether or not they do, what would happen if Notorious B.I.G.’s Stand user died via the Infinity Stones. Would Notorious B.I.G. die, as well?
If not, the Stand could live to fight another day, taking comfort in the fact that the Infinity Stones did not affect it in the same way as the corporeal Stand users.
8 Killer Queen’s Time Loop Would Prove Useful
There are a few Stands, including Yoshikage Kira’s Killer Queen, that can warp and bend time in different ways. This would prove particularly difficult for Thanos. Fans already know time-related powers work on Thanos and the Infinity Stones thanks to Doctor Strange’s power.
On top of that, Killer Queen can turn something into a bomb by simply touching it. This means that Killer Queen could not only blow Thanos up with a single touch, but also the Infinity Stones. If that didn’t put a scratch on the Stones, it would at least blast them out of immediate range.
7 Shining Diamond Can Rearrange The Gauntlet
Shining Diamond has two major strengths working for it. Firstly, Shining Diamond is an incredibly fast Stand, which could even counter Thanos’ speed, as he is not seen to be a particularly speedy character in person. The other thing that Shining Diamond can do is rearrange molecules to the point of being able to kill or heal.
If Shining Diamond cannot rearrange the Infinity Stones to be incapable of activation, it could at least rearrange and refuse the gauntlet or Thanos, himself. The only downside is that Josuke Higashikata, who wields Shining Diamond, cannot heal himself.
6 Cream Might Be Able To disintegrate Thanos Completely
Vanilla Ice’s Cream is a Stand that might be particularly well-matched with Thanos, as Cream also has two unique abilities that make it both an offensive and defensive powerhouse. Cream can disintegrate anyone thanks to its extradimensional capabilities. However, the Stand user can crawl inside that extradimensional space without being disintegrated.
From that space, the Stand user cannot be hurt, and thus it is safe from Thanos’ physical attacks. Plus, it is not guaranteed the Infinity Stones can reach that space. On top of everything, Vanilla Ice is a vampire. So, fights at night won’t see much effect.
5 The World Could Stop Thanos From Snapping His Fingers
Another vampiric foe for Thanos is Dio Brando and his time-stopping Stand, The World. Not only does Dio have the strengths of being a vampire on his side (regeneration, immortality, and extra strength/speed) but he also has an equally, or maybe more, fast and strong Stand.
This Stand can also stop time for nine seconds, which could prevent Thanos from activating the Infinity Stones. The real question would be if Thanos would be affected by the time stop, considering the power of the stones. However, even if he can, he would have a hard time fighting Dio and The World.
4 Star Platinum Might Be Able To Outpace Thanos
Jotaro and his Stand, Star Platinum, do not have as many tricks under their sleeves as some of the other Stands and Stand users might have. However, Star Platinum is one of the fastest, if not the fastest, Stand in existence. It can act well before Thanos could even snap his fingers.
It can also hit Thanos thousands of times without breaking a sweat. On top of this, Jotaro Kujo is one of the smartest characters in the show. He is known for ingenious plans, masterful fake-outs, a willingness to bluff with everything on the line, and an unbeatable poker face.
3 King Crimson Would Know Exactly What Thanos Was Planning
If time warping is a thing that can affect Thanos, and a strategy that Thanos has a hard time countering, then King Crimson would be Thanos’ worst nightmare. One of King Crimson’s most powerful and frustrating abilities is its power to erase time. Similar techniques have been covered in this list, but King Crimson has another big advantage to add to the fight.
King Crimson can see the future by using the time-erase, which means that it is always informed, even mid-fight. It would know when Thanos would try to use the Infinity Stones and could counter it.
2 It Would Be Hard To Use The Infinity Stones If Weather Report Turned Thanos Into A Snail
At first, Weather Report’s abilities as a Stand seem less helpful in a fight against Thanos, at least in comparison with other Stands on this list. However, Weather Report’s powers are complicated and multifaceted. Weather Report can affect the weather. If that is not powerful enough, there is its Heavy Weather ability, which is nearly unavoidable.
It is likely Thanos or the power of the Infinity Stones could counter those moves, despite some of them being nearly impossible to counter. However, there is one more trick up Weather Report’s sleeve, and that is the creation of rainbows that can turn people into snails. If Thanos touches a rainbow, he becomes a snail with no hands to hold the Infinity Stones with.
1 Gold Experience Requiem Could Rewind Thanos’ Damage
Gold Experience in its original form might not be enough to stop Thanos. However, it can get help from other objects, as it can imbue things with life and have them help in the fight. When pierced with the arrow, however, Gold Experience became a requiem Stand, and it was given added abilities.
Gold Experience Requiem can nullify attacks, and if this extends to Thanos and the Infinity Stones, it can render Thanos powerless, which would be pretty useful if it works out.
