10 Strongest Marvel Heroes Shazam Could Defeat | CBR

Shazam is one of the most powerful superheroes on Earth. Since he was imbued with great might by the Wizard, he has many abilities. There are few heroes or villains who could challenge Shazam. Even Superman would rather not fight Shazam, as the young hero is as strong as the Man of Steel.

His magic-based powers are varied and formidable, and his never-give-up attitude has made a difference in battle many times. Marvel’s heroes are a tough bunch, but Shazam can beat even the strongest of heroes. Shazam could defeat plenty of Marvel’s characters because he possesses the superpowered abilities of six legendary figures.

10 Rogue Wouldn’t Be Able To Drain Shazam’s Powers

Rogue X-Men

Rogue is one of the X-Men’s most devastating weapons. She’s strong, fast, and durable. It’s her ability to drain the powers of others and use them against her opponents that makes her such an asset on the battlefield. That’s not really going to be possible against Shazam, as the mystical nature of his powers would preclude that.

That’s a big problem for Rogue. While she’s certainly tough, she’s not tough enough to fight with Shazam for too long. He wouldn’t be able to knock her out with one punch, but it wouldn’t take too many shots before Rogue went down.

9 Luke Cage’s Limited Offense Wouldn’t Be Enough Against Shazam

Luke Cage is one of Marvel’s toughest fighters. His super strength, unbreakable skin, and sheer tenacity give him an upper hand against most foes. Although, these powers won’t be much help against Shazam. Generally, Shazam is a lot more powerful. Shazam is more than just a super-strong, durable bruiser like Luke Cage, which will make all the difference.

Even without any of his other powers, Shazam is much stronger than Luke. Luke likely won’t stand a chance. Even though Luke is a crafty guy, which will buy him some time, Shazam outclasses him by too much.

8 Colossus’ Durability Would Make It A Long Fight But He’d Still Lose

Colossus Piotr Rasputin X-Men

Colossus is a true man of steel, with his mutant power allowing him to transform into living metal. He doesn’t need food or oxygen in his steel form and is the X-Men’s strongest member. His strength doesn’t mean much against Shazam but his durability would make it difficult for the young hero. Colossus is rather limited, but he can take a massive beating.

Colossus is also a very experienced fighter, which will grant him many chances against Shazam. The problem is capitalizing on those chances, as Colossus doesn’t really have the offensive power against someone at Shazam’s level.

7 Iron Man Wouldn’t Stand A Chance Against Shazam

Iron Man

Iron Man is one of Marvel’s biggest icons. Despite this, Shazam would undoubtedly beat Iron Man in a fight. There’s not a lot that Iron Man could do in his base suit to hurt Shazam. Iron Man likely wouldn’t be able to think of a way to beat Shazam, as magic is outside of his wheelhouse. Even if he mobilized his specialty armors against Shazam, it would do no good. Shazam outclasses him by too much. It would be a fight that Shazam could end in a few punches.

6 Wonder Man Survives Everything But He’d Lose The Fight

Wonder Man is one of the strongest Avengers and the nature of his ionic powers makes him effectively immortal. He’s helped the Avengers in critical circumstances and would give Shazam a great fight. That’s mostly because of Wonder Man’s durability. As far as strength and speed go, Shazam has him beat.

In fact, Shazam would probably fall back on his magic lightning should this fight ever happen. Wonder Man can take an incredible amount of damage, so even with Shazam’s superior strength, it would be impossible to win the fight on punches alone. The lightning of Zeus is a better weapon and would end the fight much quicker.

5 Hercules Wouldn’t Be Able To Stand Up To Shazam’s Other Powers

Hercules is one of the most powerful Olympians and a stalwart Avenger. The ‘H’ in Shazam stands for Hercules, as the wizard had granted him the power of six legendary figures. However, that doesn’t mean that Hercules is equal in strength to Shazam; Hercules isn’t even on Thor or Hulk’s level. Nonetheless, Hercules is an experienced and skilled hero, so it would still be a good fight.

Against Shazam, Hercules can only rely on his strength. Shazam, on the other hand, has many more options. Even if they were equal in strength, which they aren’t, Shazam is has speed and the ability to fly on his side.

4 Hyperion Would Give Shazam A Great Challenge But It Wouldn’t Be Enough

Hyperion is one of the most powerful heroes in the Marvel Universe. Hyperion exists on many multiversal Marvel Earths and is usually that world’s greatest hero or villain. Hyperion’s amazing powers outclass everyone around him. Hyperion and Shazam are probably the most evenly matched but Shazam has a slight advantage.

Hyperion is just a pastiche of Superman and Shazam has gone up against the real Superman. Hyperion could challenge Shazam but it wouldn’t be enough to win the fight, though it’d be an entertaining one.

3 Shazam Outclasses Captain Marvel In Nearly Every Way

Carol Danvers has proven to be one of the most powerful Captain Marvels in the Marvel Universe. Although, she’s not more powerful than the original Captain Marvel, Shazam. Admittedly, Carol Danvers could be faster than Shazam, but it’s unknown since Shazam has the speed of Mercury. Carol Danvers also has cosmic powers on her side, but it’s not going to be enough.

Captain Marvel is very much a close combat fighter, so she won’t really have a chance to use the few advantages she has. Shazam’s strength is so great that he could do a lot of damage with just a couple of shots. They are both smart fighters, but she’s not going to be able to keep up with Shazam for long.

2 Thor And Shazam Would Have An Epic Battle But Thor Would Lose

THor

Thor is one of Marvel’s most powerful heroes who has faced d0wn some of the most dangerous villains. Over the years, his strength has increased and he’s had Mjolnir (one of the greatest weapons in any comic universe) on his side. He and Shazam are very evenly matched, with Shazam winning in some categories and Thor in others.

A battle between them is going to be an epic struggle but Thor would lose that fight. Thor has skill and experience as an advantage but he’s not a clever fighter. Shazam is an incredibly smart fighter, which is going to give him the win. He’ll out-think the Norse God and his advantages will lead him to victory.

1 Hulk Wouldn’t Have Time To Get Strong Enough To Beat Shazam

Cates' Hulk

The Hulk is one of the strongest Marvel characters, regardless of what version of him is in the fight. Unfortunately for him, strength is his only superpower. Additionally, if an opponent is strong enough to beat Hulk before he gets overwhelmingly strong, Hulk would lose the fight. Shazam is strong enough to do so, which would give him the win.

Shazam will quickly realize he doesn’t have to take it easy with the Hulk. He’s stronger, faster, and smarter; he’ll go at the Hulk with everything he has and knock him out quickly, ending the fight before the Hulk is too strong to handle.
