The Konoha 11 were a generation of shinobi representing the future of the Naruto universe. Over the seven hundred episode series, each of them has had an opportunity to prove their skills (or lack thereof).
Stamina is a recurring theme of their fights. Some shinobi are seemingly tireless, while others are hopeless moments after launching their initial attack. By ranking the Konoha 11 based on endurance, we gain a better idea about which of them can last for long periods of time, as opposed to the shinobi who are unreliable.
11 Ino’s Skillset Depends On Her Teammates
Considering that Ino’s “Mind Transfer” ability has no taijutsu prerequisites, it’s unsurprising that her endurance suffers for it. Oftentimes, she relies on teamwork to defeat opponents and cannot fend for herself in individual battles.
Ino’s disappointing taijutsu was proven during her fight against Sakura, where she was knocked unconscious despite activating the mind transfer successfully. Considering that she has never been seen in physical training ever since then, it follows that her pink-haired rival has well surpassed what she is capable of ever since the time skip.
10 Shino Relies Too Heavily On Bugs For His Own Good
Whether against Konan or Zaku, Shino’s fights have always been short. He relies mostly on bugs in order to win battles, leaving his martial skills criminally underdeveloped.
Shino’s lack of endurance was proven through his fight against Kankuro, where he succumbed to the Black Ant’s poisons seconds after being inflicted. If he had developed a greater constitution, he would have been able to defeat the Sand ninja instead of merely tying with him. Fortunately, Shino’s intellect and vast offensive prowess make up for his inability to survive in drawn-out encounters.
9 Tenten Has Good Resilience But A Low Pain Tolerance
Despite being underdeveloped, Tenten has surprisingly good endurance. She was able to outlast and outsmart the Gold/Silver brothers and could even unleash an entire ocean through her containment scrolls.
However, Tenten cannot be ranked any higher on account of her low pain tolerance. A single direct hit from Temari was enough to take her out of commission in the Chunin Exams. Regardless of being a taijutsu expert under the watchful tutelage of Might Guy, her endurance still needs to be greatly improved upon before she can be viewed as a powerful kunoichi.
8 Choji’s Endurance Is Limited By Costly Jutsu
As a taijutsu fighter, one might expect Choji to have better stamina than most. However, his enhanced abilities greatly diminish his stamina to such extents that he needs to burn body fat for sustenance.
While Choji may have harnessed chakra wings and the super expansion jutsu after the time skip, they still leave him exhausted upon usage. As a result, he must patiently wait until Shikamaru and Ino have positioned his opponents before striking a killing blow.
7 Shikamaru Has Enough Endurance To Make His Strategies Viable
While Shikamaru’s jutsu don’t play into his endurance, he has proven fairly resilient through his many battles. He had the agility to avoid Tayuya’s summoned monsters in a sustained fight and even managed to run Hidan into a secluded forest.
The ninja’s greatest feat was his ability to persist through Temari’s relentless wind fans when defeating her in the Chunin Exams. Although Shikamaru may not be the most athletic of his comrades, he is agile and tenacious enough to see his strategies to completion. His performance is somewhat ironic when considering how much he complains about being tired.
6 Sakura’s Determination For Greatness Paid Off
Ever since joining Team Seven, Sakura felt insecure about how weak she was. It compelled her to train under Lady Tsunade, who transformed her into one of the best medical ninja in history.
Sakura’s chakra seal imbues her with a renewed sense of vitality and allows her to fight well beyond her normal limits. However, she has seldom been the last hero standing in any of her fights. The only exception is the battle against Team Dosu, which can’t be counted since Naruto and Sasuke were already incapacitated at the beginning of the encounter.
5 Kiba Was Relentless, Determined, & Loyal To His Comrades
Although far from the strongest member of the Konoha 11, Kiba’s feats of endurance cannot be overlooked. He was able to move so fast and frequently that even Naruto was disoriented, which made him a credible threat in the Chunin Exams.
Additionally, Kiba has a fearsome pain tolerance. When Sakon/Ukon invaded his body, he ripped out his own flesh in order to counter their jutsu and repel them. He was also among the most useful heroes against the Gedo Statue, as his Fang Over Fang technique obliterated enemies in droves.
4 Hinata Has Fast Attacks & A Formidable Pain Tolerance
Though often underrated on account of her meek disposition, Hinata has remarkably high endurance. She was able to remain standing after being bludgeoned repeatedly by Neji, which forced him to knock her out. Her performance was so admirable that it even stunned the Jonin.
Additionally, she distracted Pain long enough for Naruto to recover, even putting him on the defensive for an imperative few seconds. Between her high pain tolerance and ability to unleash hundreds of consecutive attacks without tiring, Hinata has proven herself as a shinobi worthy of Naruto’s love.
3 Neji Is Fast, Enduring, & Impressively Perceptive
Neji has proven the ability to push past his limits time and again. This was first seen in the fight against Sound Four agent Kidomaru, where he let himself be shot in the chest for a better opportunity to win.
The man was so tenacious that he even defeated a perfect clone of himself that the Akatsuki had created simply by trying harder. He also had enough energy to keep up with and defeat Rock Lee, whose willpower was legendary among the Leaf.
2 Rock Lee Can Train Constantly Without Tiring
Rock Lee is an icon of work ethic, discipline, and endurance. He remained standing after Gaara knocked him unconscious and joined the battle against Kimimaro mere hours after recovering from a life-jeopardizing surgery.
Although failing to surpass his mentor, Might Guy, Rock Lee was the only member of Konoha 11 (aside from Team Seven) to stand against Madara directly. He can also open Seven Gates with ease, granting him the strength to crush meteors and move at blinding speed.
1 Naruto’s Endurance Is Partially Fueled By Kurama
There are dozens of factors contributing to Naruto’s endurance. His lineage as a member of the Uzumaki clan accelerates his recovery time, and Kurama imbues him with more chakra than he should realistically have. It was partially why he was able to create hundreds of shadow clones at once.
Additionally, Naruto has boundless willpower. He managed to fight Sasuke after his chakra had been depleted and even had enough strength to send him flying into bedrock. When unconscious, Kurama’s ability to take over provides him with a second layer of protection and ensures that he will not go down easily.
