With dragons, goddesses, and mages being prominent in this world, it is only natural that there are several incredibly powerful characters that draw focus throughout this series. While some need to grow into their destiny, others already possess immeasurable power. Fymryn is an example of a character that possesses potential, with even the Invoker wanting her to assume Mene’s lost status. But beyond her use of the gift to teleport and disguise herself, she can’t necessarily compare in strength to many of the other characters.

Warning: Big Spoilers For DOTA: Dragon’s Blood ahead!

10 Luna Is Dangerous With Or Without Selemene’s Power

Dota: Dragon's Blood Luna

Once known as the Scourge of the Plains, Luna is shown in the first series of DOTA: Dragon’s Blood as the ferocious enforcer of Selemene, viciously striking down the elves and those who refuse to worship the goddess.

Before renouncing Selemene leaves her powerless in the second series, Luna demonstrates her power and brutal strength as a warrior.  THis is heightened when utilizing the power that the moon grants her despite her being responsible for the death of Fymryn’s family in Neverwhere Land in season one. She eventually sees Mirana as a better leader to serve, earning her some redemption.

9 Auroth Was Strong But No Match For Viceroy Kashurra

Winter Wyvern Auroth and Bram, Dota: Dragon's Blood

Known to fans of the DOTA franchise as the poetry-loving Winter Wyvern, Auroth is introduced in the second season of DOTA: Dragon’s Blood in her dragon form, saving Davion and friends from Terrorblade’s attack on Dragon Hold.

As one of the oldest Eldwyrm, Auroth forms a close bond with Bram and fights as hard as she can to save him and the others from Viceroy Kashurra’s wrath, but to no avail. She manages to hold him off while he is in his more humanoid form, but his almost unstoppable towering dragon form is too much for her to handle and she is killed.

8 Kaden Is The Most Powerful Of The Purely Human Dragon Knights

While Davion represents the Dragon Knights, his brother in arms Kaden is the full embodiment of a true knight and dragon slayer, having killed one of every type of dragon. Kaden dons a powerful set of plate armor that he adds to with the remains of every dragon that he kills, which subsequently allows him to channel their power.

His boots have the air dragon’s power, allowing him to gain extraordinary speed mid-air while also allowing him to quickly change direction, thus making him the perfect counter for a dragon. Despite his traumatic experiences, Kaden continues to fight with all of his might and is capable of keeping up with even the strongest of foes.

7 Lina’s Powers As The Slayer Are Impressive

Dota: Dragon's Blood Lina

Immediately upon her introduction to the second season of DOTA: Dragon’s Blood, Lina showcases her fiery powers and it is made clear that she shares some sort of bond with Davion or Slyrak. Referred to as the Slayer, Lina possesses vast powers that even surpass those of Davion in his combined form with Slyrak.

Lina is able to free Davion from Slyrak during combat with the dragon, a sign of her considerable strength. However, this facade of courage does have its flaws, most notably with her hiring an assassin to eliminate Mirana rather than doing it herself. Despite her powers, she is easily overcome by Kashurra when he disapproves of her actions.

6 Davion & Slyrak’s Combined Form Is A Sight To Behold

Dota: Dragon's Blood Davion & Slyrak

As shown in the first episode of DOTA: Dragon’s Blood, Davion was an exceptionally skilled fighter and Dragon Knight even before his soul was merged with the Elder Dragon Slyrak after his defeat at the hands of Terrorblade. Voiced by Yuri Lowenthal, Davion experiences inner turmoil, occasionally descending into a demonic dragon-like form.

Slyrak is a powerful dragon in his own right, so the combination of their powers can make light work of ordinary human or elf foes. However, despite Slyrak ultimately aiming to get his revenge on Terrorblade, their combined power is sometimes not enough. For instance, they struggle when fighting Kashurra and Lina on separate occasions.

5 Viceroy Kashurra’s Void Dragon Powers Are Formidable & Terrifying

Viceroy Kashurra was the friendly face that Mirana needed when she returned home. The man who also looked out for her family and affectionately calls her “sunbeam” appears to have the best of intentions for her until the shocking revelations of “The Violet Hour”.

Kashurra is revealed to have the power of the Dawn Star, transforming into his true form as a Void Dragon. With this monstrous form and power, he is responsible for the deaths of Lina, Auroth, and Marci, all powerful characters in their own right, and is even able to completely overpower Slyrak and Kaden before being eliminated by Mirana’s newfound power.

4 A Vengeful Selemene Can Mean Doom For Almost Any Living Being

Slemene flying with pink lightening, Dota 2 Dragon's Blood

Selemene is viewed as an all-powerful entity in the first season, worshipped as the Goddess of the Moon. She was once mortal but stole the power of Mene for herself. If fueled by people’s worship and faith, Selemene possesses terrifying power, especially when directed at enemies out of disgust or vengeance.

At the end of the first season, she is overpowered and humiliated by Terrorblade, allowing the Invoker to hold her captive until the second season of the show. However, a lapse of judgment by Fymryn eventually releases her, adding yet another powerful entity and overall player into the state of affairs leading into the third season.

3 The Invoker Acts From The Sidelines But Can Still Cause Indescribable Damage

Dota: Dragon's Blood Invoker preparing to attack

Voiced by revered voice actor Troy Baker, the Invoker is one of the more mysterious characters in DOTA: Dragon’s Blood and certainly one of the most dangerous. He makes a deal with Terrorblade, the most formidable and terrifying alliance in the show. This shows his desperation to resurrect his daughter Filomena, rather than the pure villainous intent of Terrorblade.

The Invoker possesses the power to track and spy on almost anyone, launch magical barrages and attacks on opponents, and is undoubtedly so much more dangerous than his initial appearance as the Mage suggested.

2 Terrorblade Lives Up To His Name Through Horrifying Manipulation Of Mind & Soul

Dota: Dragon's Blood Terrorblade

As the name indicates, Terrorblade is the terrifying villain that DOTA: Dragon’s Blood is slowly but surely building towards. The marauder demon has already created chaos by controlling humans and dragons, using them to leave death and destruction in his wake while also manipulating characters and playing on their minds and fears.

Terrorblade’s power is shown as early as the initial confrontation with Slyrak and Davion back in the first episode and overpowering Selemene in the season one finale, all in his quest to collect the souls of dragons for his own uses. With Slyrak now on the way to confront Terrorblade, expect intense fireworks if and when the third season arrives.

1 Mirana’s Full Power As The Empress Of The Sun Is Unmatched

Dota: Dragon's Blood Mirana

Voiced by Lara Pulver, Mirana is initially the lost princess of Selemene who comes into her own in the second season of the Netflix series. Mirana miraculously recovers from an assassination attempt, and it ultimately helps her to realize her true potential. By the end of the second season, or Book 2 as it is also known as, Mirana has renounced and rejected Selemene and the core ethos of the Dark Moon Order, embracing her destiny as Empress of the Sun.

It is revealed that her power is what fuels Marci in her bursts of inhumane strength, right up until she is killed by Kashurra, which in turn pushes Mirana to unleash her true power. Activated by her grief, Mirana’s newfound power and role as the physical incarnation of the Worldwyrm even enable her to separate Davion from Slyrak.
