Bronn was known as many things in Game of Thrones, but he was mainly known as a cutthroat and mercenary-for-hire. His tough personality did occasionally show cracks of affection for the likes of Tyrion and Jaime Lannister, but his overlying goals stayed consistent.
Bronn knew how to look out for himself, working with others when necessary as long as it meant that he would get something out of it in the end. This untrustworthy streak would actually serve him well for most of the Squid Games, as betrayals and selfish acts are ultimately the name of the game.

Arya had a tough time throughout Game of Thrones. Not only did she have to watch as her family was picked apart and decimated, but she went through even more distress in order to become stronger. By the end of the series, she had endured hell and survived to see the end credits.
Her training to be a Faceless Man made her a formidable assassin and fighter, with her showcasing her survivability when taking hits along the way, and her general experiences taught her when to trust or be wary of others. In the Squid Games, Arya would survive anything combat-related and she would have enough wherewithal to work her way through the other games, utilizing the level of luck combined with the skill she showed to make it through the events of Game of Thrones.
