DCEU’s Batman is plagued with the many misfortunes that he experienced throughout his life. Not only did he tragically lose his parents, but he also lost Robin to the Joker and Harley Quinn. These things made him a jaded individual, and after Superman’s fight with Zod caused even more misfortunes, Batman simply couldn’t see Superman as a good man.
After fighting at Superman’s side, Batman tries to make up for his mistakes. He manages to succeed in this endeavor, earning him the respect of the other Justice League members, including Superman himself.
10 He Rescues Martha Kent From Lex Luthor
After fighting Superman, Batman realized that Superman was only fighting him because Lex Luthor took his mother hostage. He promised the Kryptonian that Martha Kent wouldn’t die that night. This was Batman’s way of making amends with the hero, and because he kept his promise, Superman was willing to fight at Batman’s side.
They were both finally able to see the humanity in each other and shared mutual respect after their intense battle against each other.
9 He Traveled Through Icy Terrain To Meet Aquaman
After Superman’s death, Batman was intent on gathering a group of powerful people to form a team that could fend off Earth’s biggest threats. In order to get the opportunity to meet Aquaman, he traversed the frozen mountains in Iceland, a feat that the village elder said was impossible.
It is thanks to this that they even bothered to hear Batman out, otherwise they would have thrown him out long before he started asking too many questions.
8 He Whips Out Cash & Arthur Curry Puts Him Down
Aquaman didn’t respond kindly when Batman revealed that he was able to speak Icelandic. He lifted Batman and pinned him to the wall.
However, Batman kept to his promise that he would pay the villagers thousands of dollars to speak to Aquaman, pulling out a wad of cash. It is only then that Aquaman smiles and puts him down, allowing the villagers to take the money.
7 The Flash Respects Him Because He Is Batman
Batman didn’t have to do much to earn The Flash’s admiration. All Bruce had to do was reveal his superhero identity to him, throwing a Batarang that the Flash effortlessly caught. Before Batman even has time to finish asking him to join his team, The Flash immediately tells him that he wants to join.
His reasoning was that he wanted friends, but he seemed particularly eager to join because Batman, of all people, was asking him.
6 He Fights As An Equal To The Others Despite Having No Powers
Thanks to his tech, intelligence, and experience in hand-to-hand combat, Batman is able to keep up with super-powered people. He doesn’t drag the others down and is a huge asset during their fights against Steppenwolf. Using the Parademon’s own weapons, he killed scores of them, keeping most of them from interfering with The Flash.
After seeing how successful his plan was to gather heroes like them, Wonder Woman was more eager to recruit people than she originally was.
5 He Returned Steve Trevor’s Photo To Diana Prince
Batman found the original photo that Wonder Woman took with Steve and their friends back during World War I. Batman sent the photo to Diana, with a kind note.
He took no chances, avoiding any possibility of losing it by transporting it in an armored vehicle and having the suitcase delivered directly to her. She seemed to greatly appreciate the gesture.
4 He Helped Martha Kent Get Her Farm Back
Batman was more than aware of the fact that he had done many terrible things to Superman. After Superman’s death, Batman did many things in hopes of making amends. One of the kindest things he did was help Martha get her farm back.
Superman thanked him, but Batman insisted that he was only undoing his mistakes. He went so far as to buy the entire bank just to get the farm back.
3 He Has A Wide Variety Of Gadgets
Batman uses his immense wealth to create every tool he could possibly need. He has access to a supercomputer, has created a large variety of vehicles, created a suit that allowed him to survive a fight against Superman, and has made so many more gadgets that have allowed him to navigate through a lot of situations.
His creations never fail to surprise and impress the other members of the Justice League.
2 He Is One Of The Few Surviving Members Of The Insurgency
After Superman and Darkseid took over Earth, Batman formed the Insurgency. He acts as the group’s leader. Although the members may not always agree with his choices, it is still impressive that a human was able to survive the apocalyptic future brought by such powerful beings.
His efforts to stop Superman earned him so much respect that the Flash chose to go back in time to specifically warn him about the future.
1 He Puts His Life On The Line To Protect Humanity
Batman isn’t afraid to fight on the front lines, brushing off his comrade’s questions about his safety. He entered the Batmobile to fight off the Parademons that were trying to stop the Justice League, killing a few before the rest of his comrades leaped in to help him.
He blasted a path through a building, leading to Aquaman telling him that he was out of his mind. However, he seemed to admire Batman’s bold actions.
