Predator Prequel Gets a Fitting Official Title, Release Window

Director Dan Trachtenberg’s Predator prequel film now has an official title and a release window.

According to Deadline, the film will be titled Prey and will release summer 2022. Set in the world of the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, the movie will follow Naru, a highly trained female warrior who protects her tribe against an alien predator. The script was penned by Patrick Aison.

Prey was originally titled Skulls during shooting. That title was announced back in September, when production on the film wrapped. It will be the fifth film in the Predator franchise, following Predator (1987), Predator 2 (1990), Predators (2010) and The Predator (2018).
