New Pokémon Snap: 10 Most Energetic Pokémon | CBR

New Pokémon Snap is all about viewing Pokémon in their natural habitats. While this will often focus on the fundamentals of eating and sleeping, it can be easy to forget that most photo opportunities will be of Pokémon having fun and living their lives, when not doing either of those things.

Not every species of Pokémon is designed to move quickly or possess enough stamina to run around all day, but there are several Pokémon that are able to move around quickly enough to often make photo opportunities harder to focus on. However, that makes the end results all the more rewarding, especially as Pokémon having fun and enjoying themselves will often have a positive impact on the player.

10 Espurr’s Psychic Powers Help It Fly Through The Forest

Two Espurr Psychic Powers New Pokemon Snap

Despite initially seeming rather docile when discovered in the Elsewhere Forest, Espurr makes full use of their Psychic powers, levitating themselves to give the illusion of them flying.

From their flying antics to even just adorable interactions when the player gets close enough, these mysterious cats make for some compelling photograph opportunities in the midst of the mystical location located on Belusylva Island. Espurr eventually evolve into Meowstic, which judging by the latter’s appearances in the anime, Espurr’s display of Psychic powers in Pokémon Snap are merely the beginning of their potential and capabilities.

9 Furret’s Energy Comes From Its Survival Instincts More Than Anything Else

Out of necessity more than anything, Furret are always on the move throughout the Shiver Snowfields level on Durice Island. Consistently being chased and hunted by an aggressive pack of Mightyena, Furret are seen moving quickly or hiding in obscure places, all in the name of survival.

There are occasions where Furret can be photographed in peace, presenting some great picture opportunities, but most other appearances are fraught with peril and danger, for the small ferret Pokémon.

8 Bunnelby Enjoys Jumping Around Outside The Research Center

New Pokemon Snap Bunnelby jumping around at the Research Camp

Bunnelby is only really sighted on Florio Island at the Research Camp, the main base of operations for Professor Mirror, the player, and the rest of the crew. However, even in such a small space, it shows its standard rabbit attributes and characteristics by leaping around everywhere and having a generally great time.

While simplistic in its nature, photographing Bunnelby makes for some great in-action shoot opportunities, being able to snap it in mid-air. Most of the other Pokémon at the Research Camp are happy to sit around and relax, but not Bunnelby.

7 Sharpedo Is Relentless

Sharpedo Pokemon Snap

Sharpedo mostly frequents the shallows and the reef of Maricopia, and are always seen on the move. As they are based on sharks, naturally the player will often see Sharpedo terrorizing other Pokémon, with Squirtle being the main species that are chased with a certain level of intensity.

Towards the end of the Maricopia Reef level, players can witness Machamp swimming which makes for a great photo opportunity in itself, but at a closer glance, it is made apparent that the Machamp is racing a Sharpedo, rather than any malicious or dangerous hunting going on.

6 Emolga Glides Around Looking For Food

The Sky Squirrel Pokémon Emolga is known to be mischievous and energetic in its anime performances, and its energy is in full flow in Pokémon Snap. They can be sighted flying around near the beginning of the Florio Nature Park course, and can even be caught in action frying fruit with their electricity when the player places some down for them.

Their character is on full display in a matter of seconds, from their gleeful flying to their unprecedented Electric power, all the way back to their adorable mannerisms while they eat.

5 Wherever Scorbunny Is, Grookey & Pichu Are Often Not Too Far Behind

Pichu and Grookey having fun New Pokemon Snap

On several levels in New Pokémon Snap, there is a collective of Pokémon normally from starter-evolution-lines that meet up and have fun together. While Scorbunny is often seen to be the instigator and most energetic of the bunch, Pichu and Grookey are often seen joining the fun, especially at Florio Nature Park but not limited to just that location.

Although they may not look as spectacular in the sense of leaving the likes of a blazing trail behind them like Scorbunny, they are certainly full of energy and rarely staying still, unless they are tired or presented with food or other distractions.

4 Pancham Thrives Upon Adventure And Discovery

The Elsewhere Forest is by far the most diverse route in the entirety of New Pokémon Snap, with it switching between a fog-covered mystical forest and lusciously green open spaces several times.

During the brighter parts of the level, several Pancham are seen running around, playing, and having a great time. In fact, the group of Pancham is arguably one of largest groups of any species in one given place in the entire game. Pancham can be seen playing, running, and splashing together, making for some great photo opportunities.

Monferno, the evolved form of Chimchar is known as the Playful Pokémon, which speaks volumes in itself as to how full of energy this Pokémon is. In the Fireflow Volcano level on Voluca Island, Monferno can often be seen bounding around the rather ominous setting without a care in the world.

If the player is quick, they can keep up with the Monferno and snap some photos of this energetic species in motion, and on occasion even in mid-air.

The Long Tail Pokémon resembling a monkey, Aipom can be seen on Belusylva Island. Whether it’s in the dense Founja Jungle or around the Mightywide River, Aipom are constantly bounding around and getting up to mischief.

In the jungle, they can be seen using Pokémon as stepping stones as they jump around, while by the river a group of three can be seen chasing a Psyduck around, even if the situation is brought to an abrupt end, either by Psyduck’s headache or an attacking Ursaring. Pokémon Snap is all about seeing Pokémon in their natural habitat, and seeing Aipom running around getting up to no good, is standard for them.

1 Scorbunny Burns Endless Energy

Torterra Pichu Scorbunny New Pokemon Snap

Whether it’s in the Nature Park or Secret Side Path of Florio Island, or the Sweltering Sands of Voluca, the Rabbit Pokémon can frequently be seen exerting its boundless energy. Scorbunny appears to have fun as long as they are on the move, whether by themselves or with friends, including the likes of Pichu and Grookey.

When Scorbunny runs, they release sparks of flame, leaving a blazing trail as they bound around. Although they can also be seen relaxing, often near the hulking Torterra, this is an obvious result of their daytime energy tiring them out.
