What is PSO2 New Genesis’ Halloween 2021 Event? | CBR

With Halloween right around the corner, New Genesis’ newest event is just in time. Central City is done up once again, but this time with a haunted theme and the world itself has gotten a little spookier after dark. Along with these aesthetic changes, seasonal events and Xiandy the event NPC are also back to provide players with in-game tasks and rewards suitable to the season. With the new updates that have been released this month, a few more things have been added to the event list as NGS continues to improve its content.

The NGS Halloween Fiesta event started October 27th and will go until November 24th. This gives players plenty of time to obtain the new rewards and complete additional seasonal tasks. It will likely lead into a holiday or other seasonal event, which will give players more to do until the major story update coming over New Years.

Like other events so far, Seasonal Points are back and can be earned simply by defeating marked enemies, this time with a pumpkin, and completing seasonal tasks. Some of which may line up with regular NGS dailies to make things easier. This is also an excellent opportunity to level up the Bouncer class if players haven’t done so already since there are additional Tasks to complete. One task which gives the most Seasonal Points, involves finding and defeating the new Halloween Rappies who are dressed like little Reapers and are more cute than grim. Decorative holograms are also back, with special spooky ones hidden around the city for players to find.

With a new seasonal event also comes new items to obtain from Xiandy. The most expensive and useful of which are the new four-star fire element weapons, although there isn’t one for every weapon in the game. Most are the common weapons like the Sword, Double Saber and Rifle, but some classes will have to make do with uncommon ones as there’s no Rod or Jet Boots, for example. This is the first time the elemental weapons have been released as four-star, and they come pre-ground to +25, making them easy to power up further.

Another item of note to obtain is a new Mag Form matching the new Halloween Regional Mag look. Unlike the original PSO2, where Mag Forms would be overwritten, players can now change them at will from a collection, making these new ones something to collect. Like past events, there is also a cosmetic accessory, an Autumn Branch, and a new stamp. There are also Special Scratch Tickets available for 1000 points which means players who have gotten everything else they wanted can play the new Scratch as much as they want. Star Gems can also be purchased if players are low on them. Then there are, of course, new AC Scratch Tickets to go along with the holiday.
