Season 2 of Slime was even more exciting, where Rimuru added a few more powerful minions to his side, such as Diablo the primordial demon, and he formalized his political alliances with human kingdoms and even defeated his nemesis, Demon Lord Clayman. By now, Slime fans might have forgotten about the series’ first season and its own plot twists, which can easily compete with Season 2. What might have fans forgotten from Season 1?

10 Satoru Mikami’s Last Request To His Friend

Before becoming Rimuru Tempest, Slime‘s hero was Satoru Mikami, a fairly ordinary salaryman living in modern-day Tokyo. He ran afoul of a criminal who fatally stabbed him, and as he lay dying, Satoru made a special request to his co-worker and friend.

Satoru begged his kohai to find and destroy his computer to hide all the inappropriate material on it. That was a touching but amusing final request for Satoru to make before getting reincarnated, and it help set the series’ light and easygoing tone. This isn’t quite Shield Hero or Re:Zero.

9 Rimuru Requested Most Of His Abilities By Accident

Rimuru Tempest was reborn with many potent abilities and attributes, and he requested most of them without even realizing what he was doing. As he transitioned from human to slime, he gained access to the Great Sage, and Great Sage interpreted his comments as commands.

Satoru commented on how he was bleeding to death, so Great Sage made sure that his new body would never die from blood loss. Satoru also mentioned how cold he felt, so his new body was immune to cold. This trend continued until Rimuru gained around a dozen new abilities and attributes as a slime.

The Moderate Harlequin Alliance had a slightly bigger role to play in Season 2, especially when Yuuki Kagurazaka the villain allied himself with them. But in Season 1, a member of the Alliance named Gelmud appeared and helped create one of Rimuru’s worst enemies: the gigantic Orc Disaster, the original Geld.

Gelmud was a masked demon who wore a top hat and plague doctor mask, and he offered the dying Geld a piece of meat in the sun-baked desert to power him up. After that, Geld led his orc army into ogre territory, massacring almost everyone there. Benimaru and Shion have Gelmud to blame for all their suffering.

At the time, Rigurd was short, feeble and weak-willed by any standards, and he watched in awe as Rimru single-handedly defeated the wolves. Then, Rimuru granted Rigurd his name, and Rigurd underwent an astonishing transformation overnight. Even Rimuru was shocked.

Shizue had been in World War II-era Japan, and her neighborhood was burning to the ground as Allied bombing continued. Then she was summoned by Demon Lord Leon Cromwell, who placed the powerful Ifrit inside her. Eventually, Ifrit would consume Shizue, so Rimuru helped her by fighting Ifrit and absorbing it. Vestia, a researcher from the Armed Nation of Dwargo, joined Rimuru’s kingdom and got to work duplicating Rimuru’s healing abilities as a marketable product, and he succeeded. Soon, Rimuru’s nation was exporting many crates of these highly effective potions, and business was booming.

Veldora and Ifrit played many intense matches against one another, and Ifrit often boasted of his superior shogi expertise, even offering handicaps to Veldora. Eventually, the matches ended when Veldora was reborn in his human body.
