Star Wars: The Clone Wars fan favorite Darth Maul is receiving a Milestones Statue from Gentle Giant, inspired by his appearance in the hit animated series.
The description on GentleGiantLtd.com states, “This 1/6 scale, approximately 12-inch statue depicts Darth Maul as he appears in Clone Wars Season 7, during his final battle with Ahsoka Tano. With his double-bladed lightsaber at the ready, the former Sith Lord and current ruler of Mandalore strikes a battle pose on a flame-scarred base.”
This character model is the first of two exclusive statues based on The Clone Wars, with an Ahsoka Tano one set to follow at an undisclosed date. The Maul statue is available to pre-order now at a price of $250. Design credit goes to Barry Bradfield, with sculpting by Alejandro Pereira Ezcurra. It is limited to 1,000 copies and “comes packaged with a numbered certificate of authenticity.” Customers who place their order within the month of October will gain early pre-order access to the accompanying Ahsoka statue.
Maul debuted as the central villain of Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, seemingly perishing at the hands of Obi-Wan Kenobi at the end of the movie. The Sith Lord later returned in The Clone Wars, sporting a pair of mechanical legs. His story reached a climax in Star Wars Rebels, when he died in Kenobi’s arms.
Ewan McGregor will reprise his role as Jedi Master Kenobi in a live action Disney+ series, which wrapped production in the summer. The show will reunite McGregor with his former co-star Hayden Christensen, as Kenobi comes face to face with Darth Vader. McGregor is excited for fans to see the final product, claiming Obi-Wan Kenobi “will not disappoint.”
