Hawkeye Reveals New Look at the Avenger’s Comics-Accurate Costume

New posters for Disney+’s upcoming Hawkeye series have been released, presenting the show’s two superhero archers.

The posters tease the series, the partnership between Barton and his new protégée, Kate Bishop, as well as Hawkeye‘s Christmas setting. What’s more is that they provide viewers with a good look at the Avengers’ comics-accurate costumes. These images will be used on a variety of Hawkeye merchandise and licensed products.

Hawkeye was announced in 2019. The series will see the return of Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, the master archer and a former agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. Additionally, the show will explore his time as the antihero known as Ronin, though it is set in the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame. A trailer for Hawkeye was released in September, showing how Barton and Bishop meet and how the Avenger will train the younger archery prodigy to take on the mantle.

The Disney+ original series will also see the return of Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, who debuted in Black Widow. The mid-credits scene saw Belova come into contact with the mysterious Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, who sent the former Russian superspy Barton’s way, blaming him for the death of Natasha.

There have been plenty of theories surrounding Hawkeye — as with most other Marvel Cinematic Universe projects — with some speculating that the show will feature actor Vincent D’Onofrio, returning as Kingpin from Netflix’s Daredevil series. D’Onofrio has expressed that, while he is more than willing to reprise the role, he hasn’t been contacted by Marvel Studios. Following the trailer’s release, fans kept a watchful eye on the actor’s reactions, which inadvertently fueled rumors of his return. In response, D’Onofrio stated, “Silly to look deeper into the little pieces I write… I’ve been writing them for years now. Although I appreciate the fandom. Because I loved playing him in [Daredevil].”

While exact details concerning Hawkeye’s plot have not been released, executive producer Trinh Tran explained, “There’s the family man that we’ve portrayed — a more serious character who is no-nonsense and gets through what he needs to do to accomplish the mission… But here he’s pit against Kate, who is super energetic — and at times annoying. It’s putting the two of them together and seeing what comes out of that.”

Read the synopsis for Hawkeye below:

Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner reprising his role as Clint Barton, a role he first started playing in 2011’s Thor. The series is expected to follow Clint as he trains Kate Bishop to become the new Hawkeye. The show is also expected to examine Clint’s time as Ronin, the superhero identity he took during the events of Avengers: Endgame.

Hawkeye will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on Nov. 24.
