Vans is preparing fans for the Horrordays early.
In a video posted to the company’s official Twitter, Vans unveiled its Vans x Horror collection which will bring some classic horror movie icons to the feet of fans everywhere. In the video, Vans showcased some of the horror favorites getting the shoe treatment. From It‘s Pennywise, to Freddy Kreuger’s sweater and Jason’s bloodstained hockey mask, there’s a bit of something for everyone.
The first shoes unveiled are for It and feature Pennywise’s red balloon against the shoe brand’s famous checkered pattern. These shoes are sporting the line’s Authentic shoes, formerly known as the Vans #44 Deck Shoes. They are low tops and feature laces up the middle. The text on the lining of the sole seems to read “You’ll float t00,” referencing a line from the 2017 film.
For those who prefer Nightmare on Elm Street, Vans unveiled a pair of hi-top sneakers with the pattern of Freddy’s red and green sweater. It’s a more subtle nod than the It sneakers, but the muted design works to truly capture Freddy’s look. These are designed on the brand’s sk8-Hi shoe and appear to be the only shoes in the bunch not to feature some sort of text among the design.
Then there are The Shining sneakers, which are loud in comparison to the other two shoes. Along with sporting a bright yellow color and The Shining logo printed on the fabric Jack’s face is somewhat visible and the classic “redrum” is printed in handwritten font on the shoe’s lining. The final pair unveiled, which are classic slipons, leaves all subtleness behind it. Front and center on one of the shoes is Jason’s iconic mask with blood splatter surrounding it. While the other shoe sports Friday the 13th against the red bloodstains.
The shoes will go on sale this October, although a specific date has not yet been revealed.
