Anime characters often get their superpowers in odd and unusual ways. Some are inherited, and others are earned in various ways. One of the most squirmy means to gain powers involves consuming people, either whole or in parts.
In any other situation, eating other people is awkward at best, a social taboo at worst, but for anime characters, there’s often little choice. For these anime characters, it becomes a part of who they are, and the unusual powers they get to wield.
