The titan forms in Attack on Titan are undeniably some of the best weapons for either side to use. But with each titan form comes a different shifter, and a new shifter means there is a new way that the titan can be used. Each shifter brings into this role their own personality and their own beliefs.
But because of the different shifters, not all titans are as destructive as they appear to be or could be if pushed to the limits of their abilities. Titans are portrayed as giant beings who will destroy anything and anyone in their path. And while some shifters aim to live up to the role given by the titan, not all of them choose this path. But some Titans fully embrace their role as the destructive beings of this fictional world and wreak ungodly levels of damage and havoc.
10 Eren Would Sacrifice Anything For Freedom
It’s no surprise Erens’ chaotic energy would get him the top seat for most destructive. Does he have the highest kill count? Absolutely not. As a young Scout, he wouldn’t back down from a challenge. And that energy doesn’t change a he grows; it just becomes more evident.
Eren’s ideas and plans don’t work around civilians or locations when something needs to get done. If towns get destroyed in the process, that’s not his problem. And with the Attack Titan, the destruction he can cause is immeasurable.
9 Zeke Is Ready To Wipe Out An Entire Population
Just like his brother Eren, Zeke isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty. Like Eren, he, too, believes his intentions are good. But the way Eren gets there is nothing short of destructive. Zeke will wipe out homes and towns to get what he needs.
Though his violent tendencies are all pointed towards the Eldians, he manipulates both sides to achieve his goal. He falls below Eren because Eren doesn’t care who suffers as long as they achieve freedom. Zeke only wants the Eldians erased from the picture.
8 Bertolt Is Just Doing What Needs To Be Done
Bertolt’s obedience is the cause of his destructiveness. Following his and his fellow Warriors’ mission, Bertolt destroys Wall Maria and infiltrates the Scouts Regiment. And with the Colossal Titan at his hand, the damage he can do is greater than that of others.
So even when the others Warriors struggle through the mission, Bertolt stays strong and determined. His peers may see him as quiet and weak, but this obedience gives him the drive to finish what they started.
7 Reiner Splits The Damage
With his split mind, Reiner’s destructiveness comes to impact not only those around him but himself as well. When it comes to the Warrior’s mission, Reiner develops an internal conflict because he doesn’t want to hurt his new friends.
When Reiner remembers who he is, the Armoured Titan, he is completely focused on the mission. His destruction is limited more than Bertolt because Bertolt doesn’t hold back like Reiner sometimes does.
6 Armin Has The Brains, But Not The Brawn
Armin has the brains to run any operation. He tries his best to limit casualties in any plan he works on, but he won’t hesitate if something needs to be done. When Armin took Bertolt’s titan, his demeanor changed.
With this power and strength, Armin knew how much more damage he could cause. So all of his moves were more calculated and thought out. While Armin doesn’t like the idea of killing, he knows it’s necessary.
5 Porco’s Aggression Doesn’t Translate To Destruction
Whether it’s because he isn’t that afraid or simply feels the responsibility, Porco jumps into fights. He’s standoffish and speaks his mind if he doesn’t agree with something. Though he does have an aggressive side, he doesn’t truly use it to his advantage.
The biggest example is his fight with Eren. Once Porco learns about Bertolt, he doesn’t hesitate to lunge at Eren in anger. But, no matter how much pent-up aggression Porco has, he doesn’t have the destructive mindset that others do.
4 Annie Wants A Normal Life
From the grueling training with her father to working with the Warriors, Annie undeniably is one of the strongest fighters among the group. But once the mission is considered a failure, the next step for her blur. All she really wants to do is live a normal life.
The Female Titan is strong, and it’s only amplified with her skillsets of combat. But if the shifter isn’t interested in fighting (or becomes crystallized), there’s only so much destruction she can do with it.
3 Pieck Is More Of A Team Player
While she was chosen as a Warrior for Marley, her kindness blocks any destructive nature she may have. Pieck is absolutely an essential part of the Warriors because of her quick thinking and intelligence.
But she doesn’t have as much fight in her like the others. Even with the titan, she uses it with a team of people. Her personality is much more relaxed and analytical of situations than the other Warriors.
2 Ymir Only Wants To Live For Herself
Ymir, revealing her secret of having the Jaw Titan to only a few when necessary, never wanted this life. When she regained the ability to live as a human, she decided to live only for herself. Though that does get a little scrambled when she meets Historia, she still craves that freedom.
Ymir is calculated and perceptive of those around her. But when it comes to being destructive, it’s the last thing on her mind. She’ll do what is needed to survive, and that’s it.
1 Frieda Reiss Is The Kindest Shifter
Frida Reiss is genuinely one of the kindest titan shifters. She cares for Historia and helps the villagers around her. When she takes the Founding Titan for her family, gaining all the memories of shifters in line before her, she experiences a change.
Though this change did at times make her aggressive, it was not to the point of destruction. And with Karl’s vow of renouncing war, there isn’t much she can do.
