An Unlikely Shang-Chi Character Has a Hilarious MCU Wiki Entry

Klev the Street Vendor, who made his second Marvel Cinematic Universe appearance in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, is the subject of a humorous mini-biography on the MCU fan-based wiki.

The MCU Wiki entry charts the progression of Klev’s minor character from his inception in Spider-Man: Homecoming to his latest depiction in Shang-Chi. Below the spoiler warning and a selected quote from the mobile food kiosk attendant, the first sentence identifies Klev as a “vlogger who is a fan of Spider-Man and Shang-Chi.”

“Yo, whaddup y’all, it’s your boy Klev, coming at you live on the bus,” states the opening quote, a reference to his scene in Shang-Chi. The remaining text is devoted to listing Klev’s other movie quotes as well as his allies and enemies, background and various facts. Under the sub-heading “Abilities,” a bullet point reads, “Martial Artist: Klev stated that he learned some martial arts when he was a teenager.”

Klev is portrayed by Zach Cherry, a comedian and actor known for his bit parts in DuncanvilleSuccession and The Magicians, in addition to his role as Klev. In 2017 he performed in a skit on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, petitioning attendees of the New York Comic-Con to grant him his own spinoff film.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Daniel Callaham, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings stars Simu Liu, Tony Leung, Awkwafina, Michelle Yeoh, Jiang Nan, Meng’er Zhang. Ronny Cheng, Fala Chen and Jiang Len. The film is currently available exclusively in theaters.
