Vision actor Paul Bettany isn’t done sharing behind-the-scenes looks from the hit Marvel show WandaVision, as evidenced in his recent social media post.
On his Instagram, Bettany shared a backstage photo of himself in his Classic Vision costume from Episode 6, “All-New Halloween Spooktacular!” Apart from the more comics-accurate look, the actor is also wearing a pair of thin-framed glasses. He’s glancing down at the camera with a sardonic smirk and has added the simple caption, “Good evening.”
Despite recently garnering over 20 Emmy nominations, there are no plans for a second season of WandaVision. Without any public word on when Bettany may return to the MCU as some version of Vision, it’s clear he’s not completely done with it. He’s made his affection for the role and its impact on him known with a raft of social media posts and interviews.
“But you never know with Marvel, whether you’re done or not,” Bettany said in a recent interview. “So I don’t want to call it the end yet. This was one of the most creative experiences of my life, joyful and free, making this show. To see it embraced by an audience the way it was, was so wonderful.”
While the future is uncertain for Vision, there is a full slate of upcoming Marvel television series for Disney+ on the docket. Hawkeye will follow Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton and Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop and is set for a Nov. 24 premiere. Ms. Marvel, starring Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, will follow later in the year. On top of those shows, both Moon Knight and She-Hulk are currently filming for 2022 releases.
As for Vision and Scarlet Witch, all nine episodes of WandaVision are streaming now on Disney+.
