Ghost of Tsushima Delisted From PlayStation Store Ahead of Director’s Cut Launch

Players holding out for the digital version of the original Ghost of Tsushima to drop in price will be disappointed to learn the game’s standard edition has recently been slashed altogether from the PlayStation Store.

Though having only been released on PlayStation 4 last year, Wiredup Report noticed Ghost of Tsushima‘s standard edition is no longer available to download from the PlayStation Store. With Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut due out on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 beginning Aug. 20 for $40 upgrade and $50 upgrade, respectively, it seems a digital price drop for the Sony exclusive action-adventure title won’t be for some time now. Of course, players will still be able to purchase the physical version of Ghost of Tsushima‘s standard edition at a retailer’s discount.

Meanwhile, those interested in downloading the Director’s Cut — which features the Iki Island DLC alongside a slew of technical upgrades for the PS5 version — discovered back in July that a minimum of 60GB will need to be freed up in order to run the game. Players only wanting Legends, the game’s multiplayer mode, however, learned earlier this month the game mode will be available to purchase standalone on both PS4 and PS5 for $20 starting Sept. 3.

Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut goes on sale Aug. 20 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
