After offering an open challenge to the WWE locker room, Champion Bobby Lashley was confronted by the returning Keith Lee on Monday Night Raw.
Lashley was joined by MVP in the ring, with the champion noting his successful title defense at Money in the Bank against the New Day’s Kofi Kingston. After challenging anyone from the WWE locker room to come out and face him, Keith Lee’s music hit and he made his way to the ring.
After a commercial break, Lee and Lashley squared off in a competitive matchup. The two heavyweights entertained the crowd, but ultimately, Lashley was able to defeat Lee.
The former NXT Champion Keith Lee has been out of action for several months, dating back to the company’s time in the ThunderDome. However, with the return of live crowds and touring the country, Keith Lee made his WWE homecoming in his home state of Texas. There had been much speculation on social media and in the wrestling community regarding exactly when Keith Lee would return to action. He promised fans months ago that he would provide an update, then walked back those statements.
Before Bobby Lashley and MVP could make their exit, they were confronted by another returning superstar: Goldberg. The Hall of Famer faced Lashley in the ring and gave his trademark catchphrase of, “You’re next!”
