Fans of Cyberpunk 2077 are flooding the game’s subreddit with custom-made statistics posters to tease CD Projekt Red‘s ongoing marketing campaign.
The onslaught of mockery stems from a series of images posted to the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account. Each of the tweets includes imagery from CD Projekt Red’s latest RPG alongside a statistic meant to demonstrate the game’s popularity. While the marketing push has been running for the last few months, fans of the game have recently taken an issue with it, creating their own statistic images in a bid to poke fun at Cyberpunk 2077‘s controversial launch.
The game’s subreddit is currently filling up with fan-made statistics posters. Highlights include user HypnotiZedMines pointing out the number of refunds handed out for Cyberpunk 2077 and user BesterSpieler0 joking about the lack of customization options for in-game vehicles. Many of the parody images have earned thousands of upvotes.
Cyberpunk 2077 has earned a name for itself due to its notorious launch in 2020. Despite several delays, the game was largely considered unplayable on older console generations like PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at launch. Following several large-scale patches, the game is still seen as rough by many players. Another major patch that could potentially prepare the game for its promised DLC is reportedly in development.
Cyberpunk 2077 recently re-launched on the PlayStation Store following its removal shortly after its release. Despite a warning from Sony that players looking to purchase the game should only play it on a PlayStation 4 Pro or PlayStation 5, Cyberpunk 2077 still managed to be June’s most downloaded PS4 game.
If you don’t happen to own a PlayStation of any kind, you can also find Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X (via backwards compatibility), PC and Google Stadia.
