AEW wrestler Darby Allin (real name Samuel Ratsch) has denied reports that he is appearing in the upcoming fourth mainline Jackass film, Jackass Forever.
A recent Twitter post by the music festival Knotfest celebrated Jackass Forever by listing some of the guest stars who are set to appear in the film, specifically naming Darby Allin as one of them. Allin himself quote-tweeted the post, writing, “I ain’t in this movie!”
Allin’s supposed involvement in Jackass Forever was first reported roughly two weeks ago by /Film. It’s unclear how exactly this rumor materialized, though it probably has something to do with the fact that, back in October, Jackass veteran Steve-O (Stephen Glover) appeared alongside Allin on an episode of AEW Dynamite for the latter’s “body bag roll-in” stunt.
Furthermore, Allin not only has a reputation for being a daredevil in the ring, but is also an avid skateboarder. And it’s no secret that Jackass has its origins in skateboard culture, having been birthed from the ashes of Big Brother magazine, as well as professional skateboarder Bam Margera’s CKY video series. In fact, in addition to Steve-O, Allin has been seen on AEW television alongside legendary pro skater Tony Hawk, a longtime friend of the Jackass crew who himself is reportedly involved in Jackass Forever. So, while it’s understandable why rumors of Allin’s involvement in the film would circulate, they do not appear to be true.
Jackass Forever is the fourth theatrical release in the mainline Jackass film series, as well as the Jackass franchise’s fifth theatrical film overall, following 2002’s Jackass: The Movie, 2006’s Jackass Number Two, 2010’s Jackass 3D and 2013’s Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa. The film series, of course, followed the original Jackass TV show, which aired for three seasons on MTV from 2000 to 2002.
It was first reported in late 2019 that a fourth mainline Jackass film was in the works. This week, it was confirmed that the film would be titled Jackass Forever, with an official trailer expected to drop next week. Jackass Forever is currently slated for release on Friday, Oct. 22.
Jackass Forever features the return of director Jeff Tremaine, producer Spike Jonze and cinematographers Dimitry Elyashkevich and Rick Kosick. The film, of course, also features the return of longtime cast members Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Jason “Wee Man” Acuña, Chris Pontius, Dave England, “Danger” Ehren McGhehey and Preston Lacy. (The aforementioned Margera will not be returning.)
Moreover, Jackass Forever has added multiple new main cast members — namely Sean “Poopies” McInerney, Jasper Dolphin, Zach Holmes, Eric Manaka, Compston “Darshark” Wilson and Rachel Wolfson. While Darby Allin will apparently not be among them, the film is also expected to feature numerous guest stars, including comedian Eric André, basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal and professional skateboarder Aaron “Jaws” Homoki.
