The classic coming-of-age film features one of film’s most iconic friendships. Set in the small town of Preston, Idaho, the movie follows the adventures of Napoleon Dynamite and Pedro Sánchez.
Napoleon helps Pedro run for class president, and with the help of some dance moves from Napoleon and an impressive mixtape, Pedro wins the election, ultimately defeating their rival, Summer Wheatley. The film shows how the 2 misfits of the school build a friendship and solve many of their problems by relying on each other’s strengths.
9 Timon & Pumbaa Love To Laugh Together
Serving as the comic relief of the classic animated Disney movie, The Lion King, Timon and Pumbaa act more like family than they do friends. When introduced in the film, they are already close friends that seem to finish each other’s sentences. Timon and Pumbaa encourage Simba after he leaves the Pride Lands following the death of his father.
After some time, they join Simba as he returns home and takes his rightful role as king. While not the main characters of the film, Timon and Pumbaa did whatever they could to be good friends to each other and to those around them.

The classic Disney duo appeared in Frozen and its sequel as the main protagonists. As sisters, Anna and Elsa became good friends early in life, but after Elsa’s magical powers cause accidental harm to Anna, Elsa isolates herself from everyone.
With help from Olaf, Sven, and Kristoff, the two are able to stop the Kingdom of Arendelle from being taken over by the villainous Prince Hans. The events of the first film cause the sisters to eventually reconnect and go back to being best friends.

Beginning in Captain America: The First Avenger, the friendship between Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes continued until 2023, when Steve decided to go back in time to be with Peggy Carter. The two were childhood friends that grew closer after the death of Steve’s parents.
Following his supposed death in The First Avenger, Bucky was taken by HYDRA and used as a weapon, known as the Winter Soldier. Steve and Bucky ended up having to fight each other, but HYDRA’s control over Bucky was eventually broken, and the two went back to being friends.

Throughout the four Toy Story films, Woody and Buzz have grown from mortal enemies to best friends. Originally, Woody was jealous of Buzz stealing Andy’s attention. They too eventually overcame their differences and grew to respect each other.

The Star Wars universe is full of many friendships, however, no friendship in the galaxy far, far away beats that of Han and Chewy. The endearing friendship between the pilot of the Millennium Falcon and his first mate lasted for decades.
Fans got to witness their meeting during Solo: A Star Wars Story, in which Han was thrown into a cell to be eaten by none other than Chewbacca. However, the two hit it off and were best friends until Han was killed by his son, Ben Solo, aka Kylo Ren, in The Force Awakens.
