The world of Attack on Titan is extremely perilous. Even the highly-trained Scout Regiment often return from expeditions battered, if they return at all. In fact, it’s not just ordinary humans who perish, but Titans themselves, proving that it’s not exactly easy for even the strongest characters to escape unscathed.
However, this danger doesn’t quite apply to characters from other anime, especially those who possess supernatural powers, including but not limited to empowered weaponry, hyperintelligence, and magic, among other skills.
10 Orihime Inoue Can Revert Reality If Need Be (Bleach)
Orihime Inoue possesses the mysterious Twin Sacred Return Shield, initially described as a recuperative ability. However, it is evident that this technique verges on omnipotence when Aizen has her abducted so he can forcibly mature his Hogyoku into its final form.
Orihime could certainly heal Scouts after they return from their excursions into Titan territory, but her powers go a lot further than that. In fact, there’s no reason why Orihime couldn’t simply make it so that Titans never existed in the first place — she’d only need access to either Eren or Ymir Fritz to succeed.
9 Edward Elric’s Alchemy Is Certain To Be Effective Against Titans (Fullmetal Alchemist)
The Fullmetal Alchemist is one of the most talented members of the profession in the entire country of Amestris, explaining why he’s hired by the government at such a young age.
Edward is capable of transforming his environment with alchemy in whatever way necessary, whether it’s to avoid combat or to actively pursue and attack his opponents. Manipulating rocks to create shelters against attacks or directing metallic blades against Titan napes would be simple tasks for Edward.
8 Kazuma Kuwabara’s Dimension-Cutting Sword Is Overpowering (Yu Yu Hakusho)
Kuwabara manifests the dimension-cutting spirit sword, also known as the jigen to, from deep within his emotional core when he watches Yusuke seemingly die at Sensui’s hands.
The weapon allows him to slice through literally any object, even the vacuum of outer space. In the Yu Yu Hakusho manga, Kuwabara can reduce the distance between himself and his targets, an excellent escape tactic against Titan rampages. Most importantly, the jigen to’s offensive capabilities are practically limitless.
7 Isaac Netero Doesn’t Embody The Guanyin Bodhisattva For Nothing (Hunter X Hunter)
Isaac Netero is probably the greatest Nen master in the world, and the source of his reputation lies in what his friend Zeno refers to as his most dangerous ability: the Guanyin Bodhisattva and its inescapable palms.
The speed with which the technique can be released is claimed to be faster than sound waves, and Netero’s attack power is no less impressive. As such, it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to imagine the old man destroying every single Colossus Titan involved in the Rumbling.
6 Ritsuko Akagi’s Scientific Knowledge Eclipses Hange’s (Neon Genesis Evangelion)
As the Scout Regiment’s resident scientist, Hange is obviously brilliant and resourceful, but her intelligence and general knowledge of science and engineering are overshadowed by the skills of Ritsuko Akagi.
This super-genius from Neon Genesis Evangelion is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the Magi system that is basically NERV’s brain. Besides, Ritsuko is probably going to bring Evangelions to a Titan fight, which does not bode well for the latter.
5 Light Yagami Could Assassinate The Relevant Political Leaders (Death Note)
Light Yagami uses the Death Note in an effort to subject the world his egomania. When used responsibly, however, a Shinigami’s notebook is capable of establishing peace across the world.
Although buffeted by incomprehensible forces from beyond the walls, the Paradis government has no affection for the survival of its citizens, necessitating the Scout and Garrison regiments to rebel against the royal assembly. Erwin Smith and Dot Pyxis’ coup ultimately pays off, but it would have been a lot easier with Light’s Death Note.
4 Yoko Littner’s Marksmanship Is Nothing Short Of Deadly (Gurren Lagann)
Yoko Littner is one of the sharpest shooters in the Gurren Lagann universe, and she’s almost never seen without her iconic rifle. Her eye is so accurate that she can knock multiple gunmen down in rapid succession, even if her own vehicle is swerving wildly at the time.
Most Titans wouldn’t stand a chance against Yoko’s aim, with the only exceptions being three of the Nine Titans — the Founding, Armored, and Colossus Titans — who have contingencies for such a situation.
3 Radical Edward Is Far Too Smart To Be Caught So Easily (Cowboy Bebop)
Edward is a true genius, but perhaps a bit bizarre to those who can’t understand her thought processes. Her programming skills are extremely useful to the Bebop, given that she can identify the best bounties and hack into complex mainframes in seconds.
As long as there’s a source of energy, Ed can whip up anti-Titan inventions and modify them to suit specific needs, regardless of never having observed a Titan before. In fact, it’s not impossible to imagine her in the midst of battle, either.
2 Zenitsu Agatsuma’s Thunder Breathing Would Wreak Devastation (Demon Slayer)
For someone who lacks a spine while conscious, Zenitsu turns into a master swordsman when he “falls asleep.” His Thunder Breathing manifests itself in seven unique forms, each of which is more unstoppable than the previous.
Titans will fall like logs before his hypersonic speed and the lightning strikes of his blade. Could Zenitsu take down Eren in his final form as the Founding Titan? Highly unlikely, but none of the other Titans would stand a chance.
1 Mako Mankanshoku Is Shielded By Plot Armor (Kill La Kill)
Mako is practically untouchable, whether by friendly fire or by direct assault, mostly because Ryuko’s usually around to protect her. That said, there have been several instances where Mako should have died, or at least been permanently maimed, like when she’s accidentally taken on a battle trip to Osaka.
Her injuries disappear at an unbelievable rate, prompting serious questions as to the powers she possesses. In the end, though, it’s plain and simple plot armor: a foolproof ability to have when dealing with frenzied Titans.
