My Hero Academia‘s protagonist Izuku Midoriya is determined to become the next symbol of peace, but he won’t compromise who he is to do it. Izuku fights not for glory or accolades, but to defend the innocent and uphold justice with his fists. He is popular and easily liked, with his gentle and agreeable personality.
Ochaco Uraraka has a roughly similar personality as Orihime, and if she can fall for Izuku, then Orihime certainly would too, if they ever ended up as classmates. And Izuku, with his penchant for injuries, would definitely appreciate Orihime’s healing powers.
9 Alphonse Elric Is One Big Sweetheart Under All That Metal (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood)
Unlike his hotheaded brother Edward in Fullmetal Alchemist, Alphonse Elric is known for his gentle and patient personality. He often mediates between his brother and other parties to keep the peace, and everyone who meets Alphonse can’t help but like him. Al isn’t a total pushover, though; he’ll stand and fight if he must.
Alphonse is a great match for any anime character with a mild and warm personality, just like Orihime. She would definitely swoon if she met Alphonse, and for Al the feeling would be mutual.
8 Shinra Kusakabe Is Fierce But Means Well (Fire Force)
Fire Force‘s protagonist checks of all the right boxes as a fighter and as a friend. Shinra Kusakabe is brave and bold, but he fights entirely for the sake of others, fancying himself a devil-footed superhero who will always save the day. That sets him apart from the stern Lieutenant Hinawa and the self-absorbed Arthur Boyle.
Shinra is an upbeat and energetic fellow with a good heart, and he is quick to stand up to bullies who harm the people dear to him. If Orihime met Shinra, her heart would be on fire, and Shinra would give anything to keep her safe from Infernals or the white-clad cult.
7 Mumen Rider Has It Where It Counts (One-Punch Man)
It’s true that Mumen Rider is little more than a running joke among the Hero Association in One Punch Man, what with his minimal combat power and reckless bravery (and his silly bicycle theme). But Orihime isn’t looking for a super action star to be by her side; she wants someone she can trust.
Mumen Rider’s heart is far too big for his weak body. He may be a disposable C-rank hero, but the people love him and his stubborn defense of justice against monsters like the Deep Sea King. He’s a poor fighter, but Mumen Rider is an excellent human being, and even Saitama got a good impression of him. Orihime would love to meet him.

Taiju Oki is a classic example of a gentle giant, someone who has strength of body and spirit but who wouldn’t harm a fly. Like Shinra and Mumen Rider, Taiju will bravely and selflessly stand up to bullies to defend the innocent, and he doesn’t necessarily hit back. He’s a defender, not a fighter.
This would quickly endear him to Orihime, who always favors peace and understanding over violence and wrath. Taiju’s sweet personality would definitely catch Orihime’s eye, and Taiju would take a liking to her, too.
5 Naoya Nifuji Shares Orihime’s Whimsical Sense Of Fun (Wotakoi: Love Is Hard For Otaku)
Naoya Nifuji is an upstanding young man who is rather unlike his terse and game-obsessed big brother, Hirotaka Nifuji. Naoya is cheerful and outgoing, and he loves to surround himself with friends for a party. Connecting with people is simply what he does.
Orihime and Naoya share a sense of humor, and they both appreciate the little things in life and don’t let heavy topics weigh them down. In the original story, Naoya became involved with a shy young lady named Ko Sakuragi, but given the chance, he’d like Orihime too, and vice versa.
4 Izumi Miyamura Is A Soft-Spoken & Charming Fellow (Horimiya)
Izumi Miyamura would appeal to a potential girlfriend in a few different ways. Some girls might like his cool counterculture aesthetic, while others would love his warm, big-brother side (which endeared him to Kyoko Hori’s little brother in Horimiya), as he is also gentle and kind.
Izumi Miyamura looks a bit scary with his messy dark hair, piercings and tattoos, but Orihime would recognize him as the sweetheart that he is, and savor his earnest and honest personality. Izumi would like her right back, and happily give her a cake from his family’s bakery.
3 Bolin Is A Cheerful & Caring Earthbender (The Legend Of Korra)
Earthbenders are known for being resilient and stubborn, like their element, but not all of them are brutes like The Boulder. From The Legend of Korra, Bolin is a kind boy who grew up on Republic City’s mean streets with his Firebender brother Mako.
Bolin is a bit careless and oafish at times, but he has a heart of gold that no one can deny, and he isn’t afraid to act on his amorous feelings as a true gentleman (as Opal and Korra can attest to). Orihime would absolutely adore Bolin’s kind personality, and appreciate the defensive nature of his bending, too.
2 Yuki Sohma Is Aloof But Caring To The Right People (Fruits Basket)
Yuki Sohma, who embodies the Rat spirit, would appeal to girls who want someone with a strong sense of responsibility, loyalty and self-sufficiency. Still, Yuki isn’t perfect, even if his female classmates in Fruits Basket think he is. He has imposter syndrome, and is facing serious pressure to stand up to Akito and her tyranny.
Still, Yuki is an ideal boyfriend for girls like Orihime, who would be dazzled by his earnest and kind side, which he certainly showed to Matchi. Yuki won’t give up on anyone who’s important to him, and Orihime can identify with that. She would like Yuki for more than just his princely looks.
1 Isami Aldini Is A Humble Friend & Great Cook (Food Wars!: Shokugeki No Soma)
Isami Aldini is the younger and more relaxed brother of the hotheaded Takumi Aldini in Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma. Isami is an expert Italian chef, but he’s not the type to boast about it, nor does he seek rivalries. Instead, Isami is at his best with a teammate in the kitchen to back him up.
Isami is a gentle and forgiving boy who would much rather make friends and keep the peace than show off, and all this (in addition to his cooking) would make him a real catch in Orihime’s eyes. Isami would have all kinds of fun teaching Orihime new recipes in the kitchen.
