Crunchyroll’s Next Season Includes Boruto, MHA, Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid and More

Crunchyroll has announced its first wave of anime simulcasts for the summer 2021 season.

So far, nine new premieres and 10 returning series have been announced. Premiere highlights include the Adult Swim co-production Fena: Pirate Princess, as well as new seasons of the Kyoto Animation comedy Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid and the isekai hit That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.

Official summaries of the new simulcasts are as follows:

Crunchyroll’s continuing simulcasts include long-running hits One Piece, Boruto, Case Closed and My Hero Academia, as well as other shows continuing from last season’s lineup, including To Your Eternity, Tokyo Revengers, Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai, Kiyo in Kyoto: From the Maiko House, Tropical-Rouge! Pretty Cure and Welcome to Demon School, Irima-kun! Season 2.

With 12 spaces left blank under “New Simulcasts” on Crunchyroll’s lineup announcement page, and two additional blank spaces included in the “Top Titles” section, the streaming company is expected to make more licensing announcements over the next few weeks.
