The next installment of Paramount Pictures’ Transformers franchise has revealed its title and place in the franchise’s timeline.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is directed by Steven Caple Jr. and is a progression in the Transformers timeline, placing it after Bumblebee but before the Michael Bay films. Rise of the Beasts will also take place in 1994 New York City.
Some familiar Autobots will also get a redesign in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, including Optimus Prime — who is sporting his G1 look — and Bumblebee, who now takes the shape of a dune buggy.
