Batwoman Season 2’s penultimate episode, “Kane, Kate,” set the stage for the season finale by revealing Kate/Circe decided to continue working with Black Mask, even after learning he kidnapped and brainwashed her into believing she is his daughter. The “Power” promo teases Alice attempting to save her sister, leading to a violent showdown with the False Face Society’s boss.

As for Luke, his evolution into Batwing comes on the heels of his near-death after Tavaroff shot him in the chest. While he was unconscious, Luke imagined seeing his father Lucius alive and well in Wayne Tower. According to Arrowverse costume designer Maya Mani, Luke’s Bat-suit is a reflection of not only his enduring love for his father, but also his desire to uphold his family’s crime-fighting legacy.

She also teased the costume’s various bell and whistles, describing it as “a bit fantastical and based on the whimsy of a young boy’s dream — complete with rocket boosters and hidden bits that pop out!”

The official synopsis for “Power” reads,

In the Batwoman season finale, Ryan Wilder questions her place as the city’s hero as she, Luke Fox, Mary Hamilton and Sophie Moore must join forces when Black Mask instigates chaos in the Gotham streets. Holly Dale directed the episode written by Caroline Dries.
