WARNING: The following contains spoilers for DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Season 6, Episode 7, “Back to the Finale II,” which aired Sunday on The CW.
Sara Lance is someone who takes pride in all her scars, believing that every injury is a life lesson and a memory to hold onto. But that Sara is dead, and her consciousness has been copied into a clone body. While she was distraught over her cloning, “Back to the Finale II” provided a positive side to this unfortunate circumstance, one that will come in handy as early as next week’s episode, which sees the Legends of Tomorrow return to the wild west.
The discovery of her corpse left Sara Lance stunned as Bishop reveled in the glory of obtaining the DNA map of the greatest human being in all of time and space. He laid out his new plan for the captain, which now involved using just Sara’s DNA and mixing it with that of aliens in order to create an army that could colonize the galaxy for him. To stop him, Sara escaped and ran into Mick and Gary, informing them of a plan to blow up the facility by placing bombs on generators.
While placing a bomb behind a panel, Sara cut her hand and was surprised to see that it healed instantly. She marched back to Bishop and demanded answers. He then informed her that her current body is a mix of human and alien DNA, specifically an alien with a regenerative gene. Upset by the news, Sara injected Bishop with Novocain and made her escape, hoping to convince one of the Ava Clones to build her a new fully human body.
Even though the Ava Nurse managed to help, Bishop had a back-up plan. He started uploading his conscience to the cloud, allowing him to upload his body anywhere. Sara was left with a choice: blow up the facility and stop Bishop once and for all, or wait until her new fully human clone was ready. She made the right choice and decided to blow up the factory, accepting her new life.
Sara luckily made her way back to the Waverider and back to Ava, where she had the chance to properly propose to her girlfriend. The implications of her new healing factor will come into play next week’s Legends of Tomorrow, as the promo promises a return to the wild west. There, the Legends will learn about Sara’s ability and Nate will officially induct her into the Bulletproof Club.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow stars Caity Lotz, Dominic Purcell, Nick Zano, Tala Ashe, Matt Ryan, Olivia Swann, Jes Macallan, Adam Tsekhman, Shayan Sobhian, Lisseth Chavez and Raffi Barsoumian. Season 6 airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
