Fans often like to imagine what their favorite characters would wish for if they got their hands on the Dragon Balls, or were able to get a wish granted in some fashion. Fans of Black Clover might already have guessed what sort of things Asta, for example, would wish for if he ever got the chance.
Asta has been shown to be a caring person, suggesting he would likely use such great power for some sort of greater good. On the other hand, Asta can be somewhat headstrong, meaning if he had the chance to make a wish, it might not necessarily be something with obvious consequences.
10 He’d Do Something Nice For Sister Lily
It’s made clear that one of Asta’s favorite people is Sister Lily, so it would make sense that he’d use a wish to do something nice for her.
Maybe he would wish for her to have an unlimited supply of hot cocoa, which she seems particularly fond of. He often sends his wages to help her, so he might use a wish to provide for the church and its orphanage.
9 He’d Wish For A Stronger Justice System
Asta seems very devoted to the concept of justice, to the point where he believes his enemies should be protected just as much as his allies. And even when he is sympathetic towards people who have done wrong, he still believes that they should be held accountable, like suggesting Neige spend time in prison before agreeing to be his friend.
It makes sense that he would use the power of a wish to help enforce a strong and fair legal system in his world.
8 He’d Make A Wish To Protect His Comrades
Asta has been looked down upon for so long that he seems to have gotten used to it. He might have the occasional limit, but he’ll usually brush off any insult hurled his way.
That said, he is very protective of his allies and while he might ignore an insult against himself, he might get confrontational over an insult against them. Because of this, he might use a wish to make sure his comrades command more respect.
7 He Would Wish For World Peace
Asta has often shown that he values nonviolent solutions to conflicts and trying to reason with people instead of fighting back, such as the battles with the reincarnated elves or during his conflict with Fana, even when she targeted his allies.
While it might seem like a generic wish, it does seem like Asta would have something of an interest in wishing for people to solve their problems without fighting, at least when not necessarily needed.
6 He’d Probably Wish For Food
While he might not be the most food-obsessed character in the series, Asta really seems to enjoy his food, once eating a week’s worth during a recovery period.
He especially seems to have a fondness for potatoes, also referred to as “tatoes,” with the series including tubers in a variety of dishes, from tato tempura to tato pudding. Asta might wish for an unlimited supply of these dishes in all their varieties.
5 He Could Wish For More Conventional Magic Power
Asta initially appears to have no magic in a world where everyone seems to have some form of it. Although he’s trained to combat this issue, in addition to other forces and events giving him different advantages, his lack of magic has caused him self-doubt and depression.
Because of this, he might be tempted to wish for magic powers if he was given the option, especially if this opportunity had occurred early in the story.
4 He Might Wish For More Control Over His Black Asta Form
Asta initially appears to have problems controlling his Black Asta form when he first gains it, whether it’s using it for a long amount of time or even moving it the way he wants.
While he’s eventually able to gain some control with training, he might have used a wish to solve this problem earlier if he had the opportunity, at least before it became clear training would help.
3 He Would Wish For His Friends To Always Be With Him
Friendship is really important to Asta. He’ll make friends with people who are rude to him, and he’ll stay friends with people who are otherwise rivals. He’s a good judge of character who seems to see everyone’s potential. And, as mentioned above, he’s also very defensive of his friends.
While his ability to tolerate a friendly rivalry suggests that he wants the people in his life to have breathing room, he might want to make a wish that ensures they’ll stay in his life in one way or another. It also helps that they occasionally provide needed backup.
2 He Would Wish For Both Him & Yuno To Get Happy Endings
Asta and Yuno are many things: foster-brothers, friends, and rivals who both want to become the Magic Emperor, also known as the Wizard King. They still support each other in different ways in spite of their rivalry and have mutual respect for each other.
If Asta finds a way of obtaining a wish, he might make sure that both he and Yuno can find some way of accomplishing both of their goals as much as possible.
1 He’d Wish To Be The Wizard King
Asta’s main goal is to become the Wizard King, an ambition he’ll never give up on. While he seems invested in training and fighting for this goal, he might just take advantage of a wish if the opportunity presented itself.
Even if it seems like it’s making things too easy, he has his reasons to become the Wizard King: he views it as the way to rid the kingdom of the inequality and discrimination that he knows all too well. If becoming the Wizard King is how he’ll do it, then it’s how he’ll do it, whether through his own power or through the strength of a wish.
