Ray Fisher Won’t Let WarnerMedia Allegations ‘Blow Over’ | CBR

Almost one year ago, Justice League star Ray Fisher accused director Joss Whedon of misconduct on the set of the film. He later expanded on the issue and alleged that figures at WarnerMedia including President of DC Films Walter Hamada, Geoff Johns and more enabled Whedon to get away with hostile and abusive behavior.

Since the investigation that WarnerMedia stated found no evidence of wrongdoing, there have been no further actions taken, though Fisher has remained vocal about his experiences of abuse while working with the company. In a recent statement, he wrote, “Walter Hamada, Toby Emmerich, Geoff Johns and Warner believe everything will blow over if they just ignore it hard enough. It won’t. They played, and lost, a very dangerous game. I’ve been encouraged by every industry professional to stay the course. And I shall.”

Fisher and WarnerMedia representatives have consistently offered contradicting accounts of the occurrences on the set of 2017’s Justice League, which Joss Whedon took over following the departure of director Zack Snyder. In a recent claim, Fisher alleged that Whedon and Geoff Johns threatened him and dismissed his issues with the depiction of Cyborg.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon. The film is now streaming on HBO Max.
