McFarlane Toys is releasing five new figures based on The Suicide Squad.
Todd McFarlane shared a first look at the figures on Twitter ahead of the Aug. 6 release of The Suicide Squad film. The figures include Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, Idris Elba’s Bloodsport, John Cena’s Peacemaker, David Dastmalchian’s Polka Dot Man and King Shark, voiced by Sylvester Stallone on screen. According to McFarlane, pre-orders for the figures will become available before the release of the film.
Earlier this year, McFarlane Toys also released a new line of DC Multiverse figures, including a Jokerized Nightwing and Green Lantern John Stewart.
While only five characters are getting the McFarlane Toys treatment, The Suicide Squad has a packed cast. Recent photos from the film show several characters entering Corto Maltese while undercover, including Bloodsport and the Polka Dot Man with Ratcatcher 2 (Daniela Melchior) and The Thinker (Peter Capaldi). The film will follow Task Force X as they enter the rebel nation of Corto Maltese to complete a dangerous mission. Other stills released show the team possibly meeting Peacemaker and Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman) for the first time.
Written and directed by James Gunn, The Suicide Squad stars Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Michael Rooker as Savant, Flula Borg as Javelin, David Dastmalchian as Polka-Dot Man, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Daniela Melchior as Ratcatcher 2, Idris Elba as Bloodsport, Mayling NG as Mongal, Peter Capaldi as The Thinker, Alice Braga as Solsoria, Sylvester Stallone as King Shark, Pete Davidson as Blackguard, Nathan Fillion as TDK, Sean Gunn as Weasel, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, John Cena as Peacemaker and Steve Agee, Taika Waititi and Storm Reid.
