Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is the continuation of Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto series and is set in an era where the world is largely at peace thanks to the Seventh Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki.
Focused on the journey of Boruto Uzumaki, the story is still about ninja and therefore sees the introduction of quite a few villains along the way, even when set in an era of peace. While some of them are not much of a threat, others pose danger to the entire world of shinobi.
10 Ao Was One Of The Strongest Outers Of Kara
Ao fought in the Fourth Great Ninja War as one of the strongest shinobi of Kirigakure and was presumed to have died in the attack from the Ten-Tails. Surprisingly, he reappeared in Boruto and was now working for Kara as a villain. Ao’s strength was greatly amplified by the scientific ninja technology that was offered to him by Kara and made him a threat even for Konohamaru in battle.
9 Deepa Was Too Powerful For Team 7
One of the Kara Inners who appeared only in the Boruto anime, Deepa was quite powerful and could easily beat the likes of Team 7 within a matter of minutes, as expected from an Inner of Kara. His fighting skills were refined enough to stop the entire Team 7, including Konohamaru, with ease but he was ultimately defeated by the group after a lot of struggle and luck involved.
8 Boro Was A Physical Monster Of The Kara
Known to be an incredibly strong ninja also originating from Kirigakure, Boro was the main antagonist of the Naruto retrieval arc and fought Team 7 and Kawaki in a different dimension. Being an Inner, Boro’s strength was magnificent and he could crush any of them with minimal effort. His Dark Mist Jutsu made fighting against him nearly impossible, and to beat him, someone as strong as an Otsutsuki was eventually needed.
7 Urashiki Was A Godly Being Despite Being Unimpressive
Urashiki was known to be one of the strongest characters in the Boruto story, but he was actually quite average compared to the other members of the Otsutsuki clan. Even though Urashiki had a Rinnegan with tremendous powers, his usage of it wasn’t great at all.
Nonetheless, being an Otsutsuki meant he had powers that other characters in the story didn’t, and he therefore ranks among the strongest antagonists in the story.
6 Delta Fought Naruto In Six Paths Sage Mode
One of Kara’s strongest Inners, Delta was a tremendously powerful fighter who was shown to be strong enough to take on even Naruto Uzumaki in battle. In their fight, she pushed Naruto to use Six Paths Sage Mode, which is a testament to her strength. Delta was quite impressive in combat and her high regeneration abilities, along with the power to absorb ninjutsu, made her a threat to even the strongest of shinobi. Delta was eventually taken down by Naruto with a powerful Rasengan.
5 Kinshiki Otsutsuki Could Fight Sasuke In A One On One
One of the most powerful Otsutsukis in the Naruto universe, Kinshiki made his debut in Boruto: Naruto the Movie as the partner of Momoshiki Otsutsuki. He was quite a powerful villain, as seen when he was able to fight on par with Sasuke Uchiha in a one-on-one battle and even overwhelm him in certain instances. It took the combined effort of multiple Kage to just restrain him, but he ended up giving his life to Momoshiki Otsutsuki.
4 Jigen Was The Leader Of The Kara
Introduced in the story alongside the rest of the Kara, Jigen was quite a powerful character whose skills far surpassed any other opponent Naruto and Sasuke ever fought.
Even when the two used their maximum power, they stood absolutely no chance against him and lost. Jigen, being the vessel of Isshiki Otsutsuki, had access to the powers of Sukunahikona and Daikokuten, both of which made him nigh invincible.
3 Code Is Known To Be Stronger Than Jigen
Code is a member of Kara whose true power wasn’t revealed until recently in the story. Like Kawaki, Code was implanted with Isshiki’s Karma. Unfortunately for him, the process failed and he was deemed a failure. Surprisingly, Code didn’t die like the other failed test subjects and instead gained access to a White Karma somehow. To control his powers, Amado installed several limiters on his body and made him weaker than Jigen but his true power makes him the strongest in the story right now.
2 Momoshiki Otsutsuki Is One Of The Strongest Otsutsuki
Momoshiki Otsutsuki was the partner of Kinshiki and made his appearance in Boruto: Naruto the Movie. As the main antagonist, he was a tremendously powerful foe who could fight and overwhelm both Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha at once. After absorbing Kinshiki, Momoshiki’s powers grew dramatically. Thanks to his Rinnegan, he could absorb any form of ninjutsu and retaliate by making the attack several times stronger.
1 Isshiki Otsutsuki Was The Strongest Character In Boruto
Isshiki Otsutsuki was the partner of Kaguya Otsutsuki and the man who was using Jigen’s body as his host. In this true form, he was the strongest of all characters in the Boruto series. Isshiki’s powers allowed him to effortlessly beat Six Paths enhanced Naruto and Sasuke. To fight him, Naruto had to rely on the power of the Baryon Mode, the usage of which led to the death of Kurama and made him far weaker since he no longer remained a Jinchuriki.
