Loki: The Clock Is Ticking in New Disney+ Promo | CBR

“Clock’s ticking. Clock’s always ticking,” Agent Mobius (Owen Wilson) declares in the latest promo for Marvel Studios’ new Disney+ original series Loki, which is slated to premiere on Wednesday, June 9.

The new “Clock” promo for Loki opens with the eponymous God of Mischief (Tom Hiddleston) at the headquarters of the Time Variance Authority, at which point he is told by Mobius that he had “better start taking things seriously.” Later on in the 30-second teaser, Loki declares, “I am Loki, and I am burdened with glorious purpose,” at which point Mobius turns (presumably to his TVA colleagues) and says, “He’s really arrogant.”

Loki picks up after the events of the 2019 film Avengers: Endgame, in which an alternate version of Loki creates a new timeline after successfully stealing the Tesseract in 2012. Loki will be the third entry in Marvel Studios’ lineup of Disney+ original series, following WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. An official synopsis for Loki can be found below.

Picking up immediately after Loki steals the Tesseract (again), he finds himself called before the Time Variance Authority, a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space, forced to answer for his crimes against the timeline and given a choice: face deletion from reality or assist in catching an even greater threat.

Loki stars Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Richard E. Grant. The series premieres June 9 on Disney+.
