Get Out actor Betty Gabriel will replace Marianne Jean-Baptiste in the third season of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan.
Deadline reports Gabriel will play Elizabeth Wright, the Chief of Station. Marianne Jean-Baptiste was originally cast in the role but left the series due to creative differences. As the show is currently in production, Gabriel will have to reshoot the few scenes that Jean-Baptiste completed.
Gabriel won’t be the only newcomer for the Amazon Prime Video series’ third season. James Cosmo, known for roles in Braveheart and Game of Thrones, will also be joining as a series regular, alongside Peter Guinness, Nina Hoss and Alexej Manvelov. Cosmo has been cast as Luca, with Guinness portraying Petr, Hoss cast as Alena and Manvelov playing Alexei.

John Krasinski will be reprising his role as the title character in the new season of Jack Ryan. Becoming entangled in a large conspiracy, Jack is forced underground as he’s hunted by both the CIA and an international rogue faction that he unveiled. Jack races against the clock as he tries to prevent a global conflict while attempting to keep himself alive.
This is one of many major projects for Krasinski. A Quiet Place: Part II, which Krasinski wrote and directed, arrives in theaters on May 28 and is already receiving positive feedback on Rotten Tomatoes. While the film’s release is days away, Jack Ryan fans will have to wait for news on Season 3’s premiere date.
Jack Ryan is developed for television by showrunners Carlton Cuse (Lost) and Graham Roland (Fringe) and stars John Krasinski, Wendell Pierce and Abbie Cornish. Seasons 1 and 2 are now available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. Season 3 of the Amazon Prime series does not currently have a release date.
