A new TV spot for Loki features the inner workings of the Time Variance Authority — plus a topless and buff Tom Hiddleston.
The spot features Loki being pulled into the TVA, where he is greeted by their mascot Miss Minutes. Miss Minutes cheerfully welcomes Loki to his trial, while a machine strips the God of Mischief of his Asgardian garb. Before Loki can protest, he is literally dropped into a waiting room, where he learns firsthand what happens when the TVA’s prisoners step out of line as another prisoner is disintegrated before his eyes.
“You put our timeline in chaos!” TVA Agent Mobius tells Loki. “I want you to help us fix it.” More footage features Loki battling TVA agents and having his knives confiscated by TVA Agent Hunter. The TVA’s resident judge Ravonna Renslayer even says that “trusting Loki is a bad idea,” given his penchant for treachery.
Loki recently released a new clip at the MTV Movie Awards, which featured the God of Mischief and Mobius matching wits. In preparation for Loki‘s series premiere, Disney+ will hold watch parties featuring Loki’s appearances across the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will repeat the process for all six episodes of Loki throughout its run.
Picking up immediately after Loki steals the Tesseract (again), he finds himself called before the Time Variance Authority, a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space, forced to answer for his crimes against the timeline and given a choice: face deletion from reality or assist in catching an even greater threat.
Loki stars Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Richard E. Grant. The series premieres June 9 on Disney+.
