Mikasa Ackerman was easily among the most powerful non-titan users of the Attack On Titan universe. Her prowess with ODM gear was matched only by her skills with a blade and raw physical strength. These utilities allowed her to save Eren’s life time and again throughout the duration of the story – even after he had betrayed her and cast her aside.
However, she is ultimately only human. Through identifying the anime characters Mikasa could defeat and those she couldn’t, we can better estimate her merits in battle and how deadly she is on a broader scale than merely her own universe.
10 Could Beat: Mr. Compress Isn’t Skilled Enough To Touch Mikasa (My Hero Academia)
Mr. Compress was a member of the League of Villains who could win any fight in a single touch by reducing his adversaries into marbles. This was a skill he employed against Bakugo and Tokoyami during the Forest Camp invasion.
However, Mikasa’s reflexes are faster than his own, especially when she has ODM gear to supplement her speed. Compress’s subpar reaction time was proven through his fight against Overhaul, where the Yakuza boss managed to obliterate his arm without being grazed.
9 Would Lose To: Zoro Has Higher Speed, Stamina, & Strength (One Piece)
Though Mikasa’s feats are impressive (capable of dodging bullets from point blank range and lifting massive steel bars over her shoulder), Zoro outclasses her in every observable metric. Not only does he have the benefit of experience, he possesses greater durability, strength, and speed.
He was resilient enough to survive being electrocuted by Eneru at over a hundred million volts, powerful enough to parry Oars with his bare blade, and capable of moving so quickly that he left after images of himself. Given his accolades, not even the famed Ackerman burst of power could put him down.
8 Could Beat: Obi Is Relatively Immobile & His Armor Wouldn’t Defend Him (Fire Force)
Captain Obi was the leader of Company Eight and its physically strongest member. Though he has no Ignition abilities, he could endure Benimaru’s direct attacks and even survived a point-blank shot to the chest by Vulcan.
Unfortunately for him, Mikasa’s thunder spears are specifically designed to obliterate armored plates, as proven through her battle against Reiner. Considering that she carries upwards of five of these weapons on her person, Obi couldn’t dodge all of them on account of his comparatively low mobility.
7 Would Lose To: Scar Has Defeated Opponents With Blinding Speed Before (Fullmetal Alchemist)
When using both hands of alchemy, Scar was a force to be reckoned with. He could erupt dozens of stalagmites to skewer his opponents and explode whatever part of them he was able to touch.
Though Mikasa’s reflexes and blades would prove problematic for him to contend, he has defeated targets faster and more experienced than her (as evinced through his victory over King Bradley). Additionally, since Ackerman cannot cleave her opponent in half with a single strike (illustrated via her battle against Reiner), Scar would have the opportunity he needs to bring her down after her blade became lodged in his torso.
6 Could Beat: Formaggio’s Stand Wouldn’t Effect Mikasa Considerably (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure)
Formaggio’s “Little Feet” Stand was capable of shrinking its victim until they were the size of insects. Though this was a decently powerful ability (especially since Mikasa’s weapons wouldn’t be reduced congruent to her current size), there are a number of reasons it wouldn’t suffice in stopping her.
Not only is the Stand relatively slow-acting (taking Narancia several minutes to become a manageable height), Mikasa has experience in overcoming larger opponents as observed via her encounters with the titans.
5 Would Lose To: Danzo’s Baku Would Prove Deadly Against Mikasa (Naruto)
Danzo Shimura may not have the reflexes to defeat Mikasa in a taijutsu battle even with his Izanagi, but his summoning would provide a critical difference to the outcome of the clash. His Baku was a massive elephant capable of suctioning its victims into it through a powerful vacuum in its trunk.
This would exploit the precarious position Mikasa places herself in whenever she uses her ODM gear. Moreover, it would redirect her thunder spears, squandering them to deal with the summoning rather than Shimura or any of his sharingan.
4 Could Beat: Sasha Is Unequipped To Defeat Mikasa (Attack On Titan)
Sasha was brilliant at using bows and arrows, capable of aiming them so precisely that she could shoot moving ODM users and even bunkered Marleyan soldiers. This entails that despite Mikasa’s agility, she could target and unleash volleys on her with great success.
However, Mikasa’s reflexes are equally keen, and she would only need to slash the arrows apart with her blade to procure her safety while closing the distance. This would invariably spell Braus’ death.
3 Would Lose To: Gilthunder Is An Armored Knight With The Power Of Electricity (Seven Deadly Sins)
Gilthunder was among Liones’ most powerful soldiers for his ability to command lightning. A seasoned veteran who held his own during the invasion of the Ten Commandments, his armor protects virtually his entire body from Mikasa’s attacks.
Though Ackerman is agile when utilizing her ODM gear, she cannot dodge electricity itself, especially given that Gilthunder can vary the timing in his attacks and release them continuously.
2 Could Beat: Bloster Has A Straightforward Arsenal & Is Vulnerable To Thunder Spears (Hunter X Hunter)
Bloster was a lobster-like chimera ant whose Nen ability allowed him to shoot bullets from his claws. However, even Ikalgo was able to dodge them and find cover, whose reflexes and experience pale before Mikasa’s own.
Though Ackerman’s scout blades would be unable to puncture his thick carapace, the thunder spears she carries on her person would be more than ample for cracking his defenses and crushing the beast. Given the villain’s relative immobility (relying on resilience rather than speed), he would be hopeless to dodge the explosives in time.
1 Would Lose To: Nnoitra’s Hierro Is Impregnable (Bleach)
Nnoitra’s Hierro was notorious for its durability, and rightfully so. It was easily the sturdiest of all Espada despite the fact that he was only ranked as the organization’s fifth strongest member.
Considering that Mikasa’s blades couldn’t slice through ordinary steel (and the fact that the villain could resist attacks from Kenpachi Zaraki, whose restrained blows were strong enough to create massive, desert-shaking shockwaves), not even her thunder spears would be sufficient in taking him down. Should he activate his Resurreccion form and apply his additional sets of arms to the fight, she would never get the opportunity to wound him in the first place.
