Attack On Titan: 5 Anime Characters Zeke Can Defeat (& 5 He’d Lose To)

Zeke Yeager was the Beast Titan in the Attack On Titan universe and a notoriously powerful primate. A single swing of his arm could decimate an entire scout regiment and obliterate considerable swathes of a large town, illustrating the strength at his disposal when properly equipped to destroy his enemies.

This made him among the most feared threats Paradis faced in the entire series. Through matching him against a number of diverse anime characters, we can better gauge how unstoppable Yeager (and the few individuals even stronger than he) is.

10 Could Beat: Hanzo Would Not Be Able To Get Near Him (Hunter X Hunter)

Hanzo from Hunter X Hunter

Hanzo was a skilled blade master and a licensed hunter. His reflexes and alacrity proved insurmountable to Gon despite the feats the young boy had already accomplished at that point in the series (including being able to take down large monsters by himself).

However, he is an entirely melee fighter with a limited capacity to inflict heavy bursts of damage. Consequently, Zeke could easily obliterate him with a barrage of rocks well before he came within melee range and regardless of his reflexes.

9 Would Lose To: High-End Can Fly & Regenerate Endlessly (My Hero Academia)

High-End Attacking Endeavor & Hawks

High-End was a relatively intelligent nomu who was capable of distending his limbs into barbs and regenerating endlessly. The only way to defeat him was by destroying him on a molecular level – a task that is well beyond Zeke’s rudimentary arsenal.

Since the nomu can fly at extremely high velocities (capable of keeping up with Endeavor even after the hero was enhanced by Hawks), he would be able to access Zeke’s nape and destroy it with a long, jagged appendage. Considering his unusually formidable intellect, it wouldn’t be long before he realized the Beast Titan’s weakness.

8 Could Beat: Annie Loses Her Mobility In Titan Form & Can’t Properly Defend Herself (Attack On Titan)

Annie Leonhart, attack on titan

In titan form, Annie was capable of hardening any part of her body and making it extremely resilient. This allowed her to withstand attacks from Eren even though he was strong enough to lift massive boulders over his head even in the earliest parts of the series.

However, Leonhart is incapable of using this technique to shield her entire body. As a consequence, she could not adequately block Zeke’s rock bombardment, and it would swiftly tax her abilities to rejuvenate. After being ejected from her giant form, Yeager would finish her off.

7 Would Lose To: Diane Could Disrupt His Attacks & Pummel Him With Her Gideon (Seven Deadly Sins)

Diane wields Gideon

Diane has tremendous physical strength and the ability to command the earth around her after being strengthened by Drole. This entails that she could disrupt Zeke’s pitch well before he let his rocks fly.

Additionally, her Gideon provides a massive asset in melee combat, enhancing her reach and striking power in equal measure. Since Zeke can’t harden his body like Eren or Annie, he would quickly succumb to her relentless onslaught.

6 Could Beat: Juggernaut Is Cowardly & Wouldn’t Be Able To Gather His Wits In Time (Fire Force)

It’s possible that Juggernaut could inflict meaningful damage against Zeke by using his Ignition ability. It was devastating enough to disorient Tempe and even defeat Orochi (among the White-Clad’s most skilled members) with a single blow.

However, Juggernaut is a natural coward who would be intimidated by Zeke’s seventeen-meter tall frame. This would compel him to retreat rather than fight and be obliterated by Yeager’s projectiles.

5 Would Lose To: Gaara Is Well Protected From Zeke’s Blunt Attacks (Naruto)

Gaara has a number of means to protect himself from Zeke’s attacks. He can concentrate the sand around him into an impervious shield harder than steel or simply fly out of the titan’s reach. So far, there hasn’t been a single enemy capable of breaking his defenses with blunt force alone (since Rock Lee relied on speed instead).

Conversely, the Kazekage is more than capable of harming Yeager in turn. He could either pelt him with sand spikes as hard as metal or concentrate a grainy coffin around the nape of his neck for an immediate and decisive execution.

4 Could Beat: Absalom Has Low Destructive Power & His Invisibility Wouldn’t Save Him (One Piece)

Absalom’s “Clear Clear” fruit allowed him to turn completely invisible. Alongside the bazookas he kept up his sleeve (which he referred to as the “Hands of the Dead,”) he was a formidable opponent to adversaries his size.

However, Zeke wouldn’t need to see him in order to win. All the titan must do is unleash a rocky barrage in the direction of his adversary’s attacks. This would invariably bring Absalom out of hiding, with blood revealing his location.

3 Would Lose To: Bug-Eaten Only Needs To Hit Him Once To Destroy Him (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure)

Bug-Eaten may be a clear physical mismatch against Zeke, though its Stand is deceptively powerful. It is capable of striking targets from long range and reducing them into a puddle of viscous sludge no matter how resilient or large they are.

Since it would be nearly impossible for the Beast Titan to see or hit the rat on account of its diminutive size, he would be ambushed and reduced to a horrific mass of flesh.

2 Could Beat: Gluttony Has Slow Healing & Low Offense (Fullmetal Alchemist)

Gluttony was a member of the homunculus whose false truth gate posed a serious threat. It was capable of suctioning anything in his immediate vicinity and banishing them to a realm of indescribable nightmares.

However, the villain has limited mobility and cannot heal nearly as well as many of his brothers and sisters. Subsequently, Zeke would destroy him well before he came within range to use his special ability if he continued to throw rocks at his corpulent opponent and never relented in his attack.

1 Would Lose To: Sajin Can Resist & Overpower Him Using His Zanpakuto (Bleach)

Sajin’s Zanpakuto allowed him to become a towering armored giant far more imposing than Zeke himself. Though what damage his avatar maintained was reflected back at him, he displayed incredible durability during his fight against Tosen.

Moreover, his sword is large enough to mend the inherent ranged advantage that Zeke might have and cause insurmountable damage to the Beast Titan’s body well before it could recuperate. After exhausting the extents of Zeke’s healing, Sajin would not struggle to finish him off in his human form.
