Two Looney Tunes characters, Petunia Pig and The Gremlin, are starring in their own shorts for the very first time, courtesy of HBO Max’s Looney Tunes Cartoons.
In “Pigture Perfect,” Petunia climbs a telephone pole to get a close-up picture of a mischievous squirrel, leading her into scrape after scrape — which she handles with an impressively positive attitude. “High Speed Hare” features the old stalwart Bugs Bunny, but when he tries out a self-driving car, he has to face off against a creature he thought mythical, The Gremlin.
Sneak previews from both shorts can be seen below. Ten new episodes of the animated series are premiering on HBO Max on Thursday, April 29.
Petunia Pig is voiced by Lara Jill Miller, while Bob Bergen supplies the voice of The Gremlin.
Looney Tunes Cartoons is a revival of the original Looney Tunes shorts, bringing back the franchise’s classic characters like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Wile E. Coyote to feature in fast-paced, zany cartoons.
Developed by Peter Browngardt, Looney Tunes Cartoons stars the voices of Eric Bauza, Jeff Bergman, Bob Bergen, Fred Tatasciore and more. The series is currently available on HBO Max.
