A new toy for the Disney+ series Loki teases just how important the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) timeline actually is.
The back of the box for Hasbro’s Marvel Legends Series Avengers Loki figure features text that reads, “Mere moments after his escape during the events of Avengers Endgame, Loki is apprehended by the TIME VARIANCE AUTHORITY (TVA) and arrested for his crimes against the ‘sacred timeline.'” While this does not reveal what crimes Loki committed, it does confirm that he is arrested shortly after his escape in Endgame, something that was teased in the most recent Loki trailer.

As for the figure, it is expected to become available to ship on Aug. 1, with pre-orders now open for $19.99. The 6-inch collectible is part of a larger collection of action figures based on Disney+’s new Marvel shows. Others include WandaVision‘s Scarlet Witch and White Vision, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier‘s Winter Soldier, U.S. Agent, Baron Zemo and Sam Wilson’s Captain America.
Loki will follow an alternate version of the MCU character who first appeared in Avengers: Endgame. He stole the Tesseract from the 2012 versions of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and used it to escape captivity. As for the “true” Loki, who viewers have been following since his debut in Thor, he died at the hands of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. The series also stars Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius, a vital member of the TVA, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Judge Renslayer and Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15.
Loki is one of many Marvel Studios shows planned for Disney+. Following Loki, the studio has Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk and Moon Knight in development, as well as the animated series What If…? At the most recite Disney investor day, the House of Mouse also announced Armor Wars, Ironheart and Secret Invasion series. Finally, Marvel also has a series based on Wakanda and Echo, a character who will be introduced in Hawkeye, in the works. This is on top of WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Solider, both of which are currently streaming on Disney+ in their entirety.
