WARNING! The following contains spoilers for My Hero Academia Season 5.
Pop-culture juggernaut My Hero Academia returned this year for its fifth season, while a third movie is in production and the long-running manga that started it all has recently entered the final act. Meanwhile, the One’s Justice fighters have been fans’ first point of call for the series on home consoles when it comes to video games.
My Hero One’s Justice 2 adapted the fourth season of the anime’s story, specifically concentrating on the Overhaul arc. With the success of the franchise as a whole, it seems inevitable that fans will receive another One’s Justice adapting content from the currently airing fifth season. These are the five heroes that deserve a spot on the potential sequel’s roster.

Vine/Ibara Shiozaki
Ibara Shiozaki is a hero student at U-A High, a member of class 1-B. Courteous, polite, and kind are all words that can sum up Ibara; however, she also has a hidden vindictive side. The first half of season five will consist of the Joint Training Arc, in which classes 1-A and 1-B come together to hone their skills and engage in combat. Ibara’s quirk is Vines, allowing her to manipulate her thorn-like hair in a multitude of ways.
Ibara will be given a turn in the spotlight during the Joint Training Arc, and One’s Justice 2 has already begun to add class 1-B characters as DLC, making Vine a likely inclusion. Ibara’s quirk would allow for much versatility in her move set, and she could create vine shields for defense, launch them as powerful ranged attacks or utilize her Crucifixion super move as her plus ultra 2.
Phantom Thief/Neito Monoma
Monoma has been a consistent thorn in the side of class 1-A for a long time. Arrogant, bitter and slightly unhinged at times, Neito finally gets his chance to go head-to-head with class 1-A in season five. He is another member of class 1-B that will receive screentime in the Joint Training Arc. Monoma’s quirk is Copy, allowing him to store and use up to four quirks that he gains by coming into contact with their users.
Neito represents a problem for One’s Justice as his playstyle may end up too similar to that of Himiko Toga, who has the ability to transform into other fighters. Despite this, he is prevalent in the story of season five and therefore deserves a spot. His move set would obviously be based around his quirk, attempting to get in close to the foe to steal their quirk as quickly as possible. As he can store up to four stolen quirks, he may be able to steal them from opposing assist characters with a well-timed punch.
Mirko/Rumi Usagiyama
Mirko is a daredevil who embraces danger with a wide grin. While the rabbit hero has not yet received the same chance to shine in the anime that she has in the manga, she makes an impressive appearance at the start of the season, scaring off Dabi. If nothing else, the No.5 hero is one of the most popular characters in the series and will need to make an appearance in One’s Justice sooner or later. Mirko’s quirk is Rabbit, granting her attributes of the animal such as improved hearing and incredible leg strength, allowing her to kick with immense force or jump incredible distances.
This fan-favorite making an appearance in One’s Justice 3 would be a huge selling point for the game. Her playstyle would revolve around her athleticism, with powerful kicks and likely the highest jump in the series. She could also be capable of powerful AOE ground pounds after landing, providing extra utility to the rabbit hero.
Best Jeanist/Tsunagu Hakamada
The No.3 hero Best Jeanist is long overdue an appearance in One’s Justice. He is a charismatic and elegant man who truly embodies heroism. He has been prevalent in the anime as far back as season three’s Hideout Raid Arc, in which he fought with the other heroes to rescue Katsuki Bakugo from the League of Villains. His quirk is Fiber Master, granting him the power to manipulate threads in any nearby fabrics. He is capable of using this quirk to great effect as a tool for restraining opponents.
Oddly, Jeanist has not already been added to the game’s roster despite his popularity and strength, something One’s Justice 3 should rectify. His move set could revolve around using the threads of his own clothes to pull or throw opponents around the arena or utilize the enemy’s clothes to render them completely immobile for a time.
Hitoshi Shinso
Shinso made his first appearance in season two, in which the hero-hopeful competes against Deku in the Sports Festival arc. The character makes his long-awaited return in season five’s Joint Training Arc, taken under Shota Aizawa’a wing and given the chance to transfer to the hero course based on his performance in training. Hitoshi is a stoic boy who was always judged unfairly due to the nature of his quirk, which people viewed as one suiting a villain rather than a hero. This quirk is called Brainwashing and allows him to control his foes if they respond to him verbally.
Shinso’s prominence in season five makes him a very likely inclusion for the roster. He could utilize the binding cloth given to him by Aizawa in his melee combos and his Brainwashing for his quirk specials. It would be an interesting mechanic to allow Hitoshi to control the opponent for a brief time during combat to place them in better positions to line up his combos.
