Craft Recording announced a vinyl rerelease of the classic Peanuts album, A Boy Named Charlie Brown. The record, composed by Vince Guaraldi, will be newly remastered from the original analog tapes.

The A Boy Named Charlie Brown vinyl will come in three different variants: a green-grass pressing available at Target, a sky-blue version at Vinyl Me Please and a baseball mitt-brown edition, which one can get at the Craft Recordings Store. “Baseball Theme,” one of the soundtrack’s most popular editions, will be offered in a standalone, 7-inch single, exclusively available for Record Store Day in 2021 with the alternative studio single and the original 1964 version of the song. The LP also includes a bonus of eight collectible baseball cards, each showing one of the Peanuts, from Snoopy to Schroeder, complete with stats.

A Boy Named Charlie Brown was a documentary that never made it to air in 1964, yet the soundtrack was released by Fantasy Records that same year under Jazz Impressions of a Boy Named Charlie Brown. The score was an instant classic and only gained more popularity over the years. Some of the songs were released later in the film A Charlie Brown Christmas.

The official tracklisting on side A includes ”Oh, Good Grief,” ”Pebble Beach,” ”Happiness Is,” ”Schroeder,”  and ”Charlie Brown Theme.” Side B has classics like ”Linus and Lucy,” ”Blue Charlie Brown,” ”Baseball Theme” and ”Frieda (With The Naturally Curly Hair).”

The A Boy Named Charlie Brown release will hit shelves on July 16 and is now available for pre-order.
