Jodie Turner-Smith has departed Netflix’s six-episode prequel series, The Witcher: Blood Origin.
“Due to a change in the production schedule for ‘The Witcher: Blood Origin’ limited series, unfortunately Jodie Turner-Smith will no longer be able to continue on in the role of Éile,” a Netflix spokesperson informed Variety. The character Éile is described as a “fierce warrior” with “the voice of a goddess.” In the show, Éile leaves her queen in order to pursue her true passion as a nomadic musician. However, she is forced to return to her old role when a “grand reckoning” sets her on a path in search of redemption and revenge.
