Paramount+ has shared a teaser trailer for Star Trek: Discovery‘s upcoming fourth season.
“We’re all living in uncertainty, even for a crew as familiar with it as this one,” the voiceover begins. “Stress taking its toll. But we are not in this alone. None of us are.” We then learn that a gravitational anomaly measures at an astounding five light-years across.
This anomaly will force Federation and non-Federation organizations to unite or face annihilation. Sonequa Martin-Green’s Commander Burnham is now in charge, and she has the responsibility of making sure her crew survives facing this brand-new terror.
The trailer for Star Trek: Discovery Season 4 was released during Star Trek’s First Contact Day, which is the day that humans first make contact with Vulcans in 1996’s Star Trek: First Contact. As the teaser comes to an end, we’re reminded that the only way to confront the unknown is together.
Streaming on Paramount+, Star Trek: Discovery stars Sonequa Martin-Green as Commander Michael Burnham, Doug Jones as Commander Saru, Anthony Rapp as Lt. Commander Paul Stamets, Mary Wiseman as Ensign Sylvia Tilly, Wilson Cruz as Dr. Hugh Culber, David Ajala as Cleveland “Book” Booker, Blu del Barrio as Adira, Ian Alexander as Gray, Tig Notaro as Chief Engineer Reno and Michelle Yeoh as Philippa Georgiou. Seasons 1-3 are currently available to stream on Paramount+, with Season 4 premiering later this year.
