Each month, Humble Choice subscribers can choose from a curated selection of 12 games. It’s a great deal for PC gamers looking to add to their collections since, for a relatively low price, you can get hundred of dollars worth of games from AAA franchises and indie developers. Plus, you’ll be able to keep these games forever, even if you cancel your subscription.
What makes the deal even better is that a portion of each Humble Choice sale goes to a good cause. April’s charity is Stop AAPI Hate, an organization founded by the Asian Pacific Planning and Policy Council, Chinese for Affirmative Action and the Asian American Studies Department of San Francisco State University. Stop AAPI Hate tracks and responds to hate crimes and other forms of violence and discrimination perpetrated against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, incidents that are tragically on the rise in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Here’s what you should know about April’s lineup, which is available now.
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts
This 2019 tactical shooter is the latest entry in the Sniper: Ghost Warrior series — at least until Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 launches in June. Fans of shooters and stealth games like Hitman may want to check this one out, as it similarly involves skillfully completing assassination missions set on various large maps. Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts has received mostly positive reviews, with many calling it a step up from its predecessors. The series seems to be on an upward trajectory, and with its sequel being so close, now’s a great time to try it.
F1 2020
F1 2020 is the most recent game in Codemasters‘ racing simulation series. It is the official game of the Formula 1 and 2 Championships, and it’s the only way to experience the competition as it was planned to run before it was disrupted by the pandemic. A great option for fans for sports and racing games, F1 2020 features various modes, including My Team. This allows players to assemble and manage an F1 team. It also features the return of split-screen mode, which was last available in F1 2014.
Shenmue III
Released 18 years after its predecessor, Shenmue III is an open-world action-adventure game that is loyal to the games that came before it. The game continues the story of Ryo Hazuki, an 18 year-old martial artist looking to avenge his murdered father. While the first two Shenmue games are considered some of the best games ever made, Shenmue III received mixed reviews, with many critics saying it feels like a Sega Dreamcast game as both a complement and a criticism.
Main Assembly
Main Assembly is a unique building game, one that allows players to create just about any kind of robot they can imagine, as well as obstacle courses that will test their bot’s limits. Imagination and experimentation are key parts of the game’s multiplayer mode and single-player challenges. Players can also share their creations or download ones that others have shared. Fans of chaotic gameplay can also destroy their creations by crashing their robots into obstacles, other players’ robots or simply driving them off cliffs.
Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break
This quirky game combines tower defense, racing and Monty Python-inspired humor to create a hilarious, irreverent sequel whose story includes historical figures and fictional characters like Julius Caesar, Rasputin, Krampus and the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Like previous Rock of Ages games, Make & Break is primarily about rolling a boulder to break down the enemies gate, destroying as much as possible as you go. However, this time, players can use brand-new creation tools to design their own courses — and wreak havoc on those too.
Remothered: Broken Porcelain
This psychological survival-horror game, which released last October, functions as both a prequel and sequel to 2018’s Remothered: Tormented Fathers. Broken Porcelain follows Jennifer, a young maid whose coworkers at the Ashmann Inn have gone murderous, and Rosemary Reed from the previous game, who is still investigating a mysterious disappearance that took place decades earlier. Its gameplay involves carefully choosing when to stealth or when to fight, as well as solving puzzles in a twisted and immersive environment.
In Other Waters
This indie game is a unique, non-violent sci-fi adventure where players control an Artificial Intelligence that is guiding a xenobiologist named Ellery. While exploring a distant planet and its seas, players will unravel the history and ecology that surrounds Ellery and her companion. The two will develop a bond over the course of this journey — and that bond will be tested. In Other Waters deals with deep philosophical questions regarding natural and artificial life, as well as what it means to be human.
Aven Colony
Fans of city building sims should check out Aven Colony, an indie strategy game about creating a new home for humanity on an alien planet lightyears away from Earth. Aven Prime is filled with different biomes, extreme weather conditions and alien species, all of which present players with unique challenges. Players will need to build structures for their colonists, manage various resources and needs, explore alien ruins and uncover the secrets hiding within this world to rise from Colony Governor to Expedition President.
Simulacra 1 + 2
Found-phone games are a growing subgenre of immersive text-based adventure games, and the Simulacra games blend that with horror. Each features a smartphone interface with various apps, messages and galleries for players to look through as they dive into the branching narrative and its various endings.
In the first game, players find a lost phone that belongs to Anna, a missing woman whose disappearance they must now solve by piecing together clues from her texts, emails and pictures. Simulacra 2 has players solving the mystery behind the (allegedly) accidental death of a social media influencer, again conducting that investigation using the deceased’s phone.
Colt Canyon
Colt Canyon is a roguelike shooter set in the Old West with a simple, minimalist pixel art style. In it, players control a cowboy (or one of the game’s unlockable characters) on a mission to rescue his partner from bandits. The cowboy must make it through the canyon, fighting enemies, overcoming obstacles and finding treasure along the way. However, finding and rescuing his partner is only part of the journey — the cowboy will need to make his way home too. Fans of challenging games with easy to learn but difficult to master mechanics will want to give this action-packed game a shot.
Skully
A charming and challenging platformer, Skully puts players in control of a skull, which washes up onshore and is given new life by a deity. From there, Skully must work to end a war between that deity’s three siblings, a conflict that endangers an entire island. On this journey through various ecosystems, Skully will have to adjust to overcome various challenges and dangers, transforming into different forms to take on whatever is in the way. However, there’s a lot of fun to be had in simply rolling the skull around.
Popup Dungeon
Fans of tabletop RPGs, roguelikes, card battlers and strategy games should give Popup Dungeon a try. The game combines elements of these popular genres while giving players the freedom to create whatever characters, abilities, enemies and equipment they want. These tools are simple enough that anyone can use them, but they also allow for plenty of creativity. Players can also share and download creations from the Workshop, which include reference to iconic games, pop-culture icons and memes.
