Nine years after renowned director Christopher Nolan concluded his Dark Knight trilogy with The Dark Knight Rises, the collectibles company Sideshow has revealed two new figures based on the films.
Based on the version of Bruce Wayne portrayed by Christian Bale, Hot Toys and Sideshow’s meticulously crafted new 12.6 inch Batman figure in the actor’s likeness is complete with an interchangeable Batman masked head. The masked head has an additional three interchangeable lower faces that allow for the figure to display different facial expressions. The figure also comes with a finely tailored Batsuit and an attachable cape. Also included are detailed replications of Batman’s signature accessories such as his iconic Batarangs, a climbing harness, balacava, communicator, a bomb and a figure base. The figure is expected to ship next year between the months of July and September and is available for pre-order at $255.

In addition to Batman himself, Sideshow and Hot Toys have similarly replicated Batman’s Tumbler with extreme precision to the real Tumbler featured in Nolan’s films. The highly detailed collectible is described as having “outstanding painting applications, complemented with perfectly scaled design and mechanical details throughout its interior and body.”
The collectible Tumbler is noted to having a height of 10.62 inches and a width of 28.74 inches with a depth of 18.11 inches, and even comes with LED light-up functions throughout the vehicle body, complete with rotatable rubber tires and a slide-open roof panel with articulated breaking flaps. The collectible Tumbler is also expected to ship between the months of July and September and is available for pre-order at $625.
The Dark Knight Trilogy that the collectible figures are based on tells the story of a young Bruce Wayne becoming the terrifying figure known as Batman in Gotham City. The Dark Knight narrative itself follows a three-act structure that depicts Bruce Wayne’s journey into becoming Batman in Batman Begins, the impact that he has on crime and law enforcement in The Dark Knight and the type of legacy he leaves behind in The Dark Knight Rises. The latter two movies are especially famous for their unique depictions of the Joker, Two-Face, Bane and Catwoman respectively.
The Dark Knight Trilogy stars Christian Bale as Batman, Michael Cane as Alfred Pennyworth, Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon, Katie Holmes and Maggie Gyllenhaal as Rachel Dawes, Heath Ledger as the Joker, Aaron Eckhart as Two-Face, Tom Hardy as Bane and Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. The Dark Knight Trilogy is available on digital, Blu-ray, DVD and HBO Max.
