The next generation of Naruto characters introduced in its sequel series Boruto: Naruto Next Generations have become the new faces in the spotlight. Each child of the old generation’s characters has brought along their own dreams and aspirations, some being inspired by their parents and others taking different paths.
One of those characters is the daughter of Sasuke and Sakura, Sarada Uchiha. Though she isn’t on the best ground with him, she actually has quite a bit in common with her father. However, she has just as many differences and she would most likely want to keep it that way.
10 Sasuke Never Had Her Temper
At first glance, one might believe that Sarada is always calm and collected. That analysis isn’t even close to the truth for when she lets her short temper run wild.
Unlike Sasuke and much like her mother, Sakura, Sarada has a temper that always goes off when she’s around her team members. Even Naruto says compares her “scary” anger to her mother.
9 As A Child She Had The Same Bad Traits As Sasuke
Sarada may be a relatively open and calm girl now, but at a younger age, she acted a lot more like her father did during his early days after the Uchiha Clan Downfall in the original Naruto series.
As a child, Sarada was a lot less friendly than she currently is portrayed to be. She never cracked a smile and seemed to be eternally moody. Thankfully that’s changed now.
8 She Isn’t Afraid To Show Her Emotions
It’s no secret to any fan of the Naruto series that Sasuke is easily one of the most stoic characters when he’s sure to keep himself in check. Sarada greatly contrasts this personality choice.
Sasuke’s daughter always shows off her rainbow of emotions no matter who’s around. Whether it’s laughing, yelling, crying, or blushing, she’s not afraid to show her emotions.
7 She Has A Similar Relationship With Her Rival
Naruto and Sasuke may have been teammates but they always had different views on life goals and life itself, often putting the two at odds and resulting in great arguments.
Sarada’s relationship with Naruto’s son is often in the same boat. Boruto and Sarada are always sure to be arguing about something, but they still care greatly for one another.
6 She Has Greater Goals Than Her Father
Sasuke never had the larger-than-life goals of his peer Naruto. He simply wanted to accomplish the mission he set ahead of him and only cared for his solo goal.
Sarada differs from this, as she actually has the same goal that her father’s rival once had and actually attained. That goal is to become a Hokage when the time comes for her.
5 Like Sasuke She Always Has Her Mind On Family
While never outright said, Sasuke always cared about his family and lineage. His whole childhood mission revolved around this and while it led him in a dark direction, it was a noble cause.
Sarada is very similar. She loves her family of two and constantly asked about the third, her father Sasuke before she got to meet him. This continues the tradition of the Uchiha’s complicated family ties.
4 She Greatly Values Friendship And Bonds
After meeting Naruto, Sarada began to have a great interest in the way he attempts, and usually succeeds, to form bonds with literally every resident of the Konoha village.
Sarada now is very interested in forming bonds with all those around her, always looking forward to meeting new people and eventually become friends with them.
3 She Has The Sharingan
Much like her father, Sarada awakened to her Sharingan at a young age. In fact, her excitement over meeting her father was what awakened her to this ability.
She quickly became a great user of the power of the Sharingan and was able to hone her reaction skills easily. She even was able to see Chakra Thread soon after. It’s expected that she’ll be yet another great Uchiha in mastering it.
2 She’s More Of A Team Player
Sarada’s love of friendship and creating bonds with those she cares about has turned her into one of the most valuable team players of all the new shinobi-in-training.
She has been the mind behind some of the biggest game-winning plays of team 7 and always puts her all into every battle or situation they get into. Although she tends to end up arguing with Boruto some time or another.
1 She Learns And Finds Herself Growing Due To Naruto
Whether Sasuke wants to admit it or not, he found himself and grew as result due to his close relationship with Naruto. In fact, he wouldn’t even be around the Leaf Village if it wasn’t for the boy turned Hokage.
The same can be said for Sarada, although under much earlier and more innocent conditions. Without Naruto, Sarada wouldn’t be who she is now. The confidence, friendliness, and newfound goal that she strives to reach just wouldn’t be there.
